Boulter Road, Berrimah - 115623-21NT-RTR
Boulter Road is a primary collector road that links two major arterial roads, Amy Johnston Drive and Vanderlin Drive, with a Primary School, further development with vulnerable road users and planned development of higher density along its alignment. There is currently no street lighting along this road. There has been very significant community concern raised about safety along Boulter Road, with the absence of street lighting being a major area of concern. The outcomes of a Road Safety Audit (RSA) recommended the installation of street lighting as a priority. There have been recent accidents at night, including an instance of a pedestrian being struck, with a lack of street lighting being a significant factor. Furthermore, traffic volumes are forecast to increase significantly as there are residential developments that are underway and the Berrimah North Area Plan identifies most of the land adjacent the road as being future residential zoning, with higher densities. Installing the lights will improve road safety for existing vulnerable road users and higher-density development in the area.Installation of Category V3 street lighting (AS1158)
