Landsborough Road, Concongella - 129379-24VIC-RTR
Reseal the section of road to increase road safety and ensure the road life is sustained. Road to be resealed to improve safety.
Minyip-Banyena Road, Banyena - 129380-24VIC-RTR
Reseal the section of road to increase road safety and ensure the road life is sustained. Road to be resealed to improve safety.
Longwood Road (Adelaide Hills Council) - 129251-24SA-RTR
The current section of Longwood Road links the area of Heathfield to Stirling but more broadly acts as a distributor for the communities of Longwood, Bradbury and Scott Creek within Adelaide Hills Council and beyond the Council boundaries to areas of Cherry Gardens and Coromandel Valley and has pavement failures and surface roughness. The project involves the renewal of road pavement and resurfacing to this 1 km section. Council/s contribution: $400,000.00
Phillips Road, Glenorchy - 129382-24VIC-RTR
Reseal the section of road to increase road safety and ensure the road life is sustained. Road to be resealed to improve safety.
Bethany Road, Bethany (The Barossa Council) - 129253-24SA-RTR
The pavement on Bethany Road has deformed significantly due to the reactive black clay soils, resulting in excessive deflection exceeding 200 mm. This deformation has led to severe rutting and crocodile cracking, creating unsafe traffic movements and drainage problems. Consequently, the current state of the road is unfit for accommodating the designated mix of heavy vehicles, cars, bicycles, and pedestrians. The proposed work involves the reconstruction of the failed pavement, which includes widening the intersection with Biscay Road. The desired road formation width is set at 10 metres, incorporating appropriate sealing and drainage improvements. Balance of project costs being covered by The Barossa Council.
Stradbroke Road, Athelstone (Campbelltown Council) - 129257-24SA-RTR
The Stradbroke Road project aims to address the deteriorating surface that has reached the end of its service life, requiring reconstruction to maintain an acceptable level of service (LOS) for the community. Key issues include the replacement of the road pavement, kerbing, and footpaths as needed. Additionally, improvements to the road surface shape will enhance drainage and provide smoother rideability for all vehicles, including heavy vehicles and buses. Overall, the project seeks to ensure safer connections to key destinations and better connectivity with the arterial road network. The proposed work involves road improvement, replacing existing kerbs, upgrading driveway crossovers, adjusting footpaths, and installing new pram ramps. It will also involve reconstructing the road base and applying a fresh seal to enhance the surface. Additionally, the project will feature the installation of parking bay protuberances and associated line marking to optimise parking and ensure safety. Overall, these enhancements aim to improve functionality and safety for all road users. Balance of project costs being covered by Campbelltown Council.
Wongan Hills-Cadoux Road, Rural Road - 053442-14WA-RTR
The shoulders on this section of road need to be repaired and widened due to being badly degraded by high level of heavy traffic.Rebuild and widen gravel shoulders to 7.0 meters on this section of road.
Reid Avenue, Hectorville (Campbelltown Council) - 129258-24SA-RTR
The current deterioration of the road surface has resulted in a rough and uneven driving experience, creating safety hazards for both vehicles and pedestrians. Inadequate drainage has led to frequent flooding and water damage, further compromising safety and the road's longevity. Additionally, the absence of proper kerbing has contributed to vehicle encroachment and unclear road boundaries, worsening the overall condition and functionality of the road. The proposed work involves resurfacing the section of Reid Avenue between St Bernards Road and Laver Street, which requires reconstruction to maintain an acceptable level of service (LOS). This project will address key issues, including replacing the road pavement and kerbing, improving the road shape for better drainage and rideability, and enhancing connections to key destinations and the arterial road network. Balance of funds for project being provided by Campbelltown Council.
Carcuma Road, Tintinara (Coorong District Council) - 129260-24SA-RTR
The current unsealed road pavement on Carcuma Road is deteriorating rapidly due to high volumes of heavy vehicle traffic, creating safety hazards and placing a significant maintenance burden on the small regional council. Additionally, there are geometric safety concerns that need to be addressed, including the introduction of curve widening, super-elevation, and improved vertical alignment. Currently, access for 36.5 m vehicles is restricted by permit, limiting industry use of the road. This project aims to seal the road to a standard suitable for 36.5 m heavy vehicles, incorporating appropriate curve widening and shoulders to enhance safety and accessibility. The work involves upgrading the road from an 8-metre-wide unsealed pavement to a 10-metre total pavement with an 8-metre seal width. This upgrade will include improved road alignment, curve widening, and enhanced safety features. Additionally, the road will be widened to accommodate 36.5 metre vehicles, with appropriate shoulders added to address geometric safety concerns. Balance of project costs being provided by Coorong District Council.
Riverview Drive, Berri (Berri Barmera Council) - 129254-24SA-RTR
Riverview Drive was severely damaged during the 2022/23 floods due to an earthen levee built on the road to safeguard local residences and the community. This damage involved the degradation of the bitumen surface and clay road base infiltration, causing seepage during floods. The road requires restoration, along with enhancements to ensure immediate repairs and improved resilience against future floods. The proposed work involves the extensive repair and upgrade of Riverview Drive. The project includes removing the damaged bitumen and clay road base that resulted from flood-related issues. Following this, the road will be reconstructed using a suitable PM2 32/25 product to replace the removed materials. The roadway will then be reshaped and sealed with a 14/7 seal. Balance of funds for project to be provided by Berri Barmera Council.
