Project description

The Stradbroke Road project aims to address the deteriorating surface that has reached the end of its service life, requiring reconstruction to maintain an acceptable level of service (LOS) for the community. Key issues include the replacement of the road pavement, kerbing, and footpaths as needed. Additionally, improvements to the road surface shape will enhance drainage and provide smoother rideability for all vehicles, including heavy vehicles and buses. Overall, the project seeks to ensure safer connections to key destinations and better connectivity with the arterial road network.

The proposed work involves road improvement, replacing existing kerbs, upgrading driveway crossovers, adjusting footpaths, and installing new pram ramps. It will also involve reconstructing the road base and applying a fresh seal to enhance the surface. Additionally, the project will feature the installation of parking bay protuberances and associated line marking to optimise parking and ensure safety. Overall, these enhancements aim to improve functionality and safety for all road users. Balance of project costs being covered by Campbelltown Council.

Total cost of proposed project is $1,100,000
