Project description

The current deterioration of the road surface has resulted in a rough and uneven driving experience, creating safety hazards for both vehicles and pedestrians. Inadequate drainage has led to frequent flooding and water damage, further compromising safety and the road's longevity. Additionally, the absence of proper kerbing has contributed to vehicle encroachment and unclear road boundaries, worsening the overall condition and functionality of the road.

The proposed work involves resurfacing the section of Reid Avenue between St Bernards Road and Laver Street, which requires reconstruction to maintain an acceptable level of service (LOS). This project will address key issues, including replacing the road pavement and kerbing, improving the road shape for better drainage and rideability, and enhancing connections to key destinations and the arterial road network. Balance of funds for project being provided by Campbelltown Council.

Total cost of proposed project is $1,510,000
