Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Midland Highway Upgrade - Perth Link Roads
Upgrade of the Midland Highway around the township of Perth, including a new dual carriageway starting west of the South Esk River Bridge to the north of Perth, linking to the existing Perth to Breadalbane duplication (at the Breadalbane roundabout); upgrade of the western connection to a full interchange with inclusion of on and off ramps at the northern connection; new roundabout at the southern entrance to Perth, near the existing Midland Highway and Eskleigh Road; new underpass for the existing rail line south of Illawarra Main Road; and new grade separated interchange at the tie-in of the new dual carriageway (at the northern end of Perth) for access to Perth.

The problem with the existing gravel road is that it corrugates in summer and pot holes in the winter due to the high traffic volumes. The existing road has a loose grave surface and is narrow in parts making it unsafe for passing vehicles Construction of an unsealed collector road to provide community and commercial traffic with improved access to the main road network. The project improves safety, significantly reduces the high maintenance of unsealed road and improves the mobility of commercial and local traffic by having a consistent, smooth, wide sealed surface.Stage 1: Construction of 2.4 km of unsealed road on Smiths Lane including kerb and channel and asphalt seal.Total cost of proposed project is $3,750,000
Hind Road (rural road) - 061831-15WA-RTR
Uncontrolled traffic movements due to open nature of the intersection.Form kerbing to slow vehicles down and force traffic to approach Graphite Road at an angle such that they can view vehicles on Graphite Road. Place a spray seal for 50 metres from the intersection with Graphite Road.
Elms Road (Rural Road) - 063941-16NSW-RTR
Lack of gravel, surface rutting, poor shape and inadequate drainage.It is proposed to rectify the problems with this section of road by installing additional mitre drains and cleaning the existing drains. The road will then be tyned and re-shaped. Following this new gravel will be imported, spread and compacted. The road will then be trimmed to its final shape.
Kents Road, Dalby District - 064108-16QLD-RTR
The existing overall condition of the road has been rated as very poor. Based on the road condition and the existing width of the seal being inadequate for the traffic volume the above section of Kents Road has been scheduled for reconstruction.The work entails reconstructing a rural feeder road to Councils current standards upgrading the road from a substandard 6.0m bitumen seal road with a condition rating of 7 out of 10 to a 7m wide bitumen seal with a 8m formationTotal cost of proposed project is $675,000
Mandalong Road, Mandalong - 065088-16NSW-RTR
Unsealed road has poor alignment, and sub-standard road widthRoad widening, gravel overlay, and sealing of approximately 1.45 kilometres of road, and the construction of a box culvert to replace an existing pipe.Total cost of proposed project is $1,496,855
Tintaldra Road Service Road, Tintaldra - 065638-16VIC-RTR
