Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Hyland Highway Upgrade
The project has upgraded the Hyland Highway between Traralgon and Yarram in south-east Victoria. Works included widening lanes and shoulders, installing safety barriers and slow vehicle pull-over areas, and intersection upgrades.
Kiewa Valley Highway Upgrade
The project upgraded targeted sections of the Kiewa Valley Highway between Wodonga to Mount Beauty in north-east Victoria. Works included lane widening, shoulder sealing and intersection upgrades.
Midland Highway - Geelong to Bannockburn Planning
The project developed a business case for the duplication of the Midland Highway in Victoria from the Geelong Ring Road (Princes Freeway) to Shelford-Bannockburn Road, Bannockburn.  The planning study investigated the transport, land use and economic benefits of possible upgrades as well as any potential social or environmental impacts on local people and drivers.
Monaro Highway Upgrade VIC
The project will upgrade targeted sections of the Monaro Highway from the Princes Highway at Cann River to the NSW border.  Works will include constructing a roundabout and vehicle pullover bays, upgrading bridges, rehabilitating pavement, and installing safety barriers and a Variable Messaging Sign.
Murray Valley Highway - Echuca to Yarrawonga Upgrade
The project delivered upgrades to the Murray Valley Highway between Echuca and Yarrawonga in northern Victoria, including construction of a new roundabout; upgrading selected intersections, access roads and rest areas; sealing shoulders; installing safety barriers and undertaking various delineation improvements.
Phillip Island Road and Woolamai Beach Road Intersection Upgrade
The project constructed a dual lane roundabout to replace the existing T intersection at Phillip Island Road and Woolamai Beach Road on Phillip Island in Victoria. The project is part of an inital stage to improve the road safety and operational performance of Phillip Island Road into the future.
Princes Highway East - Sale to NSW Border Upgrade
The project upgraded the Princes Highway from Sale in eastern Victoria to the NSW border, including construction of a new roundabout and overtaking lane, upgrading intersections, widening shoulders, and installing safety barriers and variable messaging signs at selected locations.
Princes Highway West - Colac to the SA Border Upgrade
The project undertook pavement re-sheeting and shoulder sealing, and safety improvements such as delineation, signage and line-marking at three key locations on the Princes Highway between Colac and the South Australian border; between Terang and Boorcan, between Heywood and Dartmoor, and near Port Fairy.  Improvements were made to the intersection at Timboon-Colac Road and Princes Highway West.
Shepparton Alternative Route - Roundabout Upgrades
The project duplicated the existing single lane roundabouts at New Dookie Road and Old Dookie Road on the Shepparton Alternate Freight Route. Works also included upgrading feeder roads to and from the roundabouts, road alignment changes such as relocation and removal of table drains, installaton of safety barriers, and provision of additional pavement areas.
South Gippsland Highway - Koonwarra Realignment
The project has realigned the South Gippsland Highway from Old Koonwarra-Meeniyan Road to Minns Road. The project also widened shoulders and installed flexible safety barriers at selected locations between Meeniyan and Yarram, and constructed two new bridges over the Tarwin River.
