Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Echuca - Moama Bridge
The project constructed a new road bridge crossing over the Campaspe River and Murray River at Echuca-Moama and connected the Murray Valley Highway at Echuca in Victoria with the Cobb Highway at Moama in NSW. The project was constructed in four stages: Stage 1 - Construction of a new roundabout at the Murray Valley Highway and Warren Street intersection Stage 2 - Upgrade of Warren Street in Echuca Stage 3 - Construction of new bridges over the Campaspe and Murray Rivers, and additional flood relief structures Stage 4 - Construction of a new four-lane carriageway
Shepparton Alternative Freight Route Enhancement Package
The project rehabilitated approximately 700 metres of pavement on Old Dookie Road between Mitchell Street and Doyles Road in Shepparton. The project also removed the existing roundabout and signalised the intersection at New Dookie Road and Verney Road in Shepparton.
Hume Freeway – O’Herns Road Interchange
The project has delivered a diamond interchange connecting O'Herns Road to the Hume Freeway. The project has also duplicated 1.4km of O'Herns Road between O'Herns Road and Cooper Street and signalised the roundabout at the intersection of Epping Road, Findon Road, High Street and O'Herns Road.
Forrest Apollo Bay Road Upgrade
The project has upgraded approximately 40km of Forrest Apollo Bay Road, Skenes Creek Road and Birregurra-Forrest Road in south west Melbourne. The project also included a range of improvement works including slow vehicle turnouts, shoulder sealing and barrier installation.
Great Alpine Road Upgrade - Cobungra to Bruthen
This project involved upgrading targeted sections of the Great Alpine Road from Cobungra to Bruthen in Victoria.  The works included widening lanes and shoulders; installing safety barriers, rock netting, catch fencing and slow vehicle pull-over areas, and information signage.
Great Alpine Road Upgrade - Wangaratta to Cobungra
The project upgraded the Great Alpine Road from Wangaratta to Cobungra, including shoulder sealing and intersection improvements at priority locations; pedestrian crossing points in Bright; the installation of safety barriers around high risk curves and drop-offs; improving chain bays and pull-over areas; kerb and channel work; and signage and other messaging to advise road users of road closures.
Great Ocean Road Upgrade - Rural and Regional Roads Package
The project continued planning and design work, and undertook various upgrades to improve the quality and standard of the Great Ocean Road between Torquay and Allansford. Works included culvert upgrades, landslip mitigation, road surface upgrades or resurfacing and bridge reconstruction along the length of the highway, including at key locations such as Apollo Bay, Wild Dog Creek, Skenes Creek, Smythes Creek, Kennett River, Wye River, Mount Defiance, Lorne, Lavers Hill, Princetown, Port Campbell and Nirranda South.
Grubb Road Upgrade Planning
The project planned for the future upgrade of Drysdale-Ocean Grove Road (known locally as Grubb Road) between Bellarine Highway and The Parade in Ocean Grove in south-west Melbourne.
Hamilton Highway - Geelong to Cressy Upgrade
The project will upgrade selected locations of the Hamilton Highway between Geelong (from Friend in Hand Road) and Cressy in south-west Victoria, and undertake an upgrade to the Hamilton Highway and Burnside Road intersection.  Works will also include safety measures such as delineation, signage and line-marking.
Green Triangle Road Upgrades
The project upgraded approximately 140km of pavement along three key freight routes within the Green Triangle Region: Henty Highway from Hamilton to Portland, Portland-Nelson Road from Henty Highway to the South Australian border, and Portland-Casterton Road from Drumborg to Casterton.
