Project description

The project rehabilitated approximately 700 metres of pavement on Old Dookie Road between Mitchell Street and Doyles Road in Shepparton. The project also removed the existing roundabout and signalised the intersection at New Dookie Road and Verney Road in Shepparton.

Benefits

The project has improved safety and heavy vehicle productivity, reduced traffic congestion and improved local amenity.

Funding

The total cost of the project is $3.9 million. The Australian Government contributed $2.3 million and Greater Shepparton City Council contributed $1.6 million.

Timetable

Construction commenced in April 2017 and was completed in April 2020.
