Project description

The project delivered upgrades to the Murray Valley Highway between Echuca and Yarrawonga in northern Victoria, including construction of a new roundabout; upgrading selected intersections, access roads and rest areas; sealing shoulders; installing safety barriers and undertaking various delineation improvements.

Benefits

The project has improved safety and efficiency for all road users and supported economic growth in the region.

Funding

The total cost of the project was $20 million. The Australian and Victorian governments each contributed $10 million.

Timetable

Construction commenced on 4 December 2017 and was completed on 25 May 2021.
