Springs Road, Mount Barker - 094139-17SA-RTR
Springs Road is an important link in the regional road network and is a Principal Community Access Route and Local Tourist Route. The current road is too narrow, requires realignment and does not have sealed shoulders. The road serves as a public transport route with bus stops along its length. The sealed shoulder will provide the safe operation of the road by providing greater sealed width for vehicles and cyclists due to the road's substandard and inconsistent geometry. There are a number of significant trees and native vegetation within the clear zone that require treatment as part of the project.Stage 1 (650m) of Springs Road involves widening traffic lanes and sealing the shoulder (3.3m for traffic lanes and 1.5m sealed shoulder). Installation of guard fence including 5 box-beam sites to provide protection within the clear zone of significant trees and also fill embankment. Stage 1 will also include pre-construction activities for future realignments to be undertaken as part of stage 2. Pre-construction activities include necessary accommodation works (fencing, vegetation).Total cost of proposed project is $1,000,000
Goodwood and Torrens Junctions
The project consists of constructing grade separations at two at-grade freight/passenger rail junctions, the removal of four level road-rail crossings, and associated works in and near the Adelaide inner suburbs of Bowden and Goodwood; as well as reconstruction of the Keswick Station and modifications to the Outer Harbour train line.
Wanneroo Road and Joondalup Grade Interchange
The project constructed a grade separation at the intersection of Wanneroo Road and Joondalup Drive. Both Wanneroo Road and Joondalup Drive are major distributor roads servicing urban areas in the north-west corridor, the Neerabup Industrial Area, and coastal communities between Perth and Lancelin. The intersection was previously considered the sixth most congested in the Perth metropolitan region. Completion of the project has reduced congestion and improved safety by providing safe and efficient road access and amenity for road users and the local community.
Mitchell Freeway Widening (Southbound from Cedric Street to Vincent Street)
The project widened the Mitchell Freeway southbound between Cedric Street and Vincent Street to create four continuous lanes from Erindale Road to Vincent Street. This project provided additional capacity at the southern section of Mitchell Freeway to alleviatecongestion during the morning peak period.
Bunbury Outer Ring Road - Stages 2 and 3 - Planning
The project involves planning and project development of Stages 2 and 3 of the Bunbury Outer Ring Road.
Regional Road Safety Package - Western Australia
The Regional Road Safety Package is a package of projects in regional Western Australia targeted at improving road safety and includes road widening, shoulder sealing, new overtaking lanes, intersection improvements, curve improvements and construction of new bridges.
Kwinana Freeway - Manning Road On-Ramp
The project involved the construction of an on-ramp from Manning Road onto Kwinana Freeway’s southbound lanes.
Wanneroo and Ocean Reef Road Grade Separation
The project will construct a bridge, a pedestrian/cyclist underpass, two new loop ramps to the north-east and south-west quadrants, two new signalised intersections, widen Ocean Reef Road to three lanes, reconstruct Wanneroo Road, and undertake other associated accommodation works.
Hale Road - Woolworths Drive Intersection Upgrade
This project will upgrade the existing intersection of Hale Road and Woolworths Drive in Forrestfield with a double mini roundabout solution. There will be one roundabout at the intersection of Hale Road and Woolworths Drive, and another roundabout at the intersection of Hale Road and Hanover Street. This will also involve modification of existing property cross-overs and relocation/protection of existing services.
Kwinana Freeway - Russell Road to Roe Highway Widening (Northbound)
The project will widen Kwinana Freeway from two lanes to three northbound from Russell Road to Roe Highway.
