Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Legacy Way (formerly the Northern Link Tunnel)
Legacy Way (formerly Northern Link) is a toll road tunnel, approximately five kilometers in length, which links the Western Freeway, at Toowong, to the Inner City Bypass, at Kelvin Grove. The tunnel runs under the suburbs of Toowong, Auchenflower, Paddington, Red Hill, Spring Hill and Kelvin Grove. The project was managed by the Brisbane City Council.
Improve Flood Immunity, Road Safety and Productivity on NT Highways - Overtaking Opportunities - Stuart Highway between Katherine and Darwin
The Stuart Highway Overtaking Opportunities project was part of the $160 million Improve Flood Immunity, Road Safety and Productivity on Northern Territory highways project funded by the Australian Government. The Stuart Highway forms the main link of the Northern Territory sealed road network providing access for the community, industry and tourism. This project addressed safety and overtaking capacity constraints on the Stuart Highway and improved the safety, efficiency and reliability of travel for all road users.
Improve Flood Immunity, Road Safety and Productivity on Northern Territory Highways - National Highways Strengthening and Widening
The National Highways Strengthening and Widening project was part of the $160 million Improve Flood Immunity, Road Safety and Productivity on Northern Territory highways project funded by the Australian Government. This project strengthened and widened exisitng pavements that were approaching the end of their economic life on the Stuart, Victoria and Barkly Highways.

Pavement failure and an edge break.Resealing of road pavement and construction of mountable curb to protect edge. Completing appropriate drainage.
Hayes Street - 037433-09NSW-RTR
Part of an overall program to seal all of the roads in South Lockhart which has considerable building activity. Roads are currently unsealed which creates dust and maintenance issues.Widen formation, construct pavement and apply a two coat spray seal.Total cost of proposed project is $45,000
North Road - 037345-09VIC-RTR
Existing gravel pavement is breaking up causing corrugations and potholing. Intersection of North Road and Fisheries Road is in a high speed rural zone at which four accidents have occurred since 1990 resulting in i death and 2 serious injuries. The intersection of North Road and Craig Road is in a high speed rural zone at three accidents have occurred since 1994 resulting 7 serious injuriesReconstruct road for a length of 4.3km with a seal pavement width of 7m together with a 2m sealed shoulder and open earth drains. Roundabouts to be constructed as part of these works at the following intersections with North Road namely Craig Road and Fisheries Road.Total cost of proposed project is $4,995,665
Bullaring - Pingelly Road - 035364-09WA-RTR
Road surface is cracking. ** WA SPECIAL BRIDGE PROGRAM **Repair bridge and construct reinforced concrete overlay between kerbs 7.2m, upgrade guard railing. Works will also include re-allignment of the approches.
