Bolivar Road, Paralowie / Burton - 040003-10SA-RTR
Inadequate road width, inadequate drainage, inadequate lighting and poor road surface condition. The lack of kerb and watertable and inadequate stormwater drainage, in particular, has led to several complaints and requests for action.Increased road width, new kerb and gutter and associated stormwater drainage, complete road reconstruction and street lighting upgrade. Note: Council also funded some preliminary design work in 2008/2009.Total cost of proposed project is $3,177,000
Balumbah Kinnaird Road - 040356-10SA-RTR
Increased traffic volumes from grain haulage require this road to go from an unsealed road to a sealed carriageway to meet Australian Standards.Construct and seal 4.5km's per year over a four year project period including earthworks, drainage, survey and design and installation of traffic furniture. This project is subject to Special Local Roads funding not announced until September 2010.Total cost of proposed project is $2,880,000
Red Gum Pass Road - 040254-10WA-RTR
This road carries a mix of traffic which varies from large Restricted Access Vehicle combinations ie: road trains etc to tourist vehicles. This is a concern on the narrow sections when these vehicle types are attempting to pass. The pavement has also deteriorated.Upgrade sealed section ie: widen shoulders and reseal Red Gum Pass Road, Kendenup, WA between SLK 2.00 to SLK 6.00 to a six metre seal width (Type 4) standard road.
Wantabadgery Road, Junee - 040087-10NSW-RTR
This section of the Wantabadgery Road was constructed in excess of 60 years ago. It is a narrow 5m wide seal with a vertical and horizontal alignment of a poor standard which does not meet any of the design criteria for a road required by the modern travelling public. The fourth culvert on the road is an inadequate drainage structure that requires replacement. It is proposed to re-construct a further 1km of the Wantabadgery Road to a 6m wide seal with 1m gravel shoulders. The vertical and horizontal alignment will be designed to an 80 kph standard. The work will include a new drainage structure consisting of a 3-cell 2.1m x 1.5m high box culvert. This structure will enable the road to stay open in a one in one hundred year flood event with the culvert structure handling a one in fifty year event, and the road surface carrying the excess water to a maximum depth of 150mm.Total cost of proposed project is $600,961
Carinya Drive, Clinton - 040490-10QLD-RTR
The batter protection on the cutting faces have failed and material is being eroded from under the existing protection. There is potential for the cutting faces to slip and/or undermine residential properties constucted on top of the cuttings.Remove the existing failed protection, excavate and remove the loose eroded material back to a solid base, install a layer of reinforcing mesh pinned to solid material and apply a sprayed concrete protection to current industry standards.Total cost of proposed project is $300,000
Gaskill Street, Canowindra - 039747-10NSW-RTR
The existing road pavement and seal, although not at all deformed has numerous cracks up to 10mm wide which are hazardous to pedestrians and reflects poorly on the Community.Fill existing pavement cracks with flexible bitumen sealant and recoat the surface with a new rubberised bitumen seal.
Colchester Road, Kilsyth - 039763-10VIC-RTR
This section of the Colchester Road road surface is showing signs of deterioration, which is being exacerbated by the absence of kerb & channel and underground stormwater drainage infrastructure.Construction of kerb & channel, footpath, and stormwater drainage infrastructure, and the renewal of the existing road pavement, to provide enhanced longevity for this section of Colchester Road. Yarra Ranges has committed to funding 50% of the project cost, due to this section of Colchester Road forming the boundary between municipalities. Stage 1 Involves Construction of kerb & channel, stormwater drainage, vehicle crossings and some pavement renewal works.Total cost of proposed project is $1,500,000
Ongerup Road - 036517-09WA-RTR
Existing 3.7 metre seal is to narrow to carry increased heavy haulage traffic, it also has extensive edge fretting due to narrow width of seal. Gravel shoulder formation is also poor.Widen existing 3.7 metre seal to 6.2 metre by upgrading existing shoulder material and formation with new material. Repair existing sealed pavement and apply second coat bitumn seal over existing and new portionsTotal cost of proposed project is $1,578,493
