Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Lady McNess Drive - 042574-10WA-RTR
The bridge has a timber deck that no longer complies with the requirements of todays traffic demand. The bridge has missing wooden guard rails. ** WA Special Bridge Program **Repair bridge, upgrade barriers and approach slabs and construct reinforced concrete overlay Remove existing bridge decking and replace with 1300mm of reinforced concrete overlay to a length 33.15m and 8.20m in width. Replace the existing wooden guard rails and design the overlay for use by heavy vehicles (Class T44).
Doreen Lane (rural road) - 042602-10NSW-RTR
Unsealed section of road to be upgraded and sealed providing all weather sealed access to Wee Waa.Stabilisation and seal of 8.0 klms of gravel road.
Mundara Street, Swan Hill. - 042656-10VIC-RTR
The road has developed large longitudinal deflections and rutting.Reconstruct existing 8 metre wide pavement and lime stabilise. Total length of project 300 metres.
Arkstone Road, via Burraga (Rural Road) - 042660-10NSW-RTR
Section of this road are old and deteriorated. The surface is uneven and very narrow. There are lots of potholes in the surface. Surface needs to be ripped up and bitumen relayed to make it safer.Widen the formation of the road. Improve curves to make safer. Extend culverts. Add extra gravel to base to improve quality. Reseal bitumen.Total cost of proposed project is $40,000
Hamilton road, South Hedland - 042688-11WA-RTR
Traffic volumes have increased significantly and has resulted in congestion in this location where dual lanes merge to single lanes. Turning into Hamilton road has been hampered by the increased traffic, which will become worse once the new Recreation Facility is built (early 2012) providing an additional access point onto Hamilton road. Traffic will need to be controlled at this point.Widen this section of Hamilton road to construct dual lanes to match existing dual lanes on either side of this section of road. A new roundabout will be constructed at the new intersection of Hamilton road and Recreation Facility entrance to control traffic flows and conjestion.Total cost of proposed project is $1,480,000
Southampton Road - 042636-10WA-RTR
Southampton Bridge was destroyed by fire in February 2013.* WA Special bridge Program** .Utilize this funding as part contribution to re-contruction of the Southampton Bridge. The Dept of Infrastructure has agreed to allow these funds to be used for Stage 1 (refer email 5 August 2013) for the clean up of the site (including preparatory and design works) Stage 2 will be undertaken in late 2014-15Total cost of proposed project is $4,100,000
Jingaring Road (rural road) - 042639-10WA-RTR
Bitumen road surface corrigated and failing, bolts and fastenings require tightening and replacing where rusted, timber abutments weathered with some splitting.Repair substructure and construct reinforced concrete overlay to width 7.2 meters and upgrade guard railing to current standards
Hutton Road, Capel - 042752-11WA-RTR
Used as a heavy haulage route. The road has lost shape. It has numerous pot hole repairs, extensive block cracking and edge breakaways.The road will be reconstructed to the current width of 5.5 metres.
Grey Street, Kalbarri - 042842-11WA-RTR
Existing street width insufficient for use by both vehicles and pedestrians, access into comemrcial fishing precinct & shopiing precinct not controlled, curve alignment has incorrect camber, no defined on street parking.Provide a designated rigth turn off lane at Clotworthy Street, widen street to allow for relocation of a dual use pathway, re-construct the curve alignment, define one way access roads into commercial fishing precinct to reduce vehicle to vehicle conflict, include parrellel parking on road shoulder in shopping precinct area, install drainage, kerb and pedestrian refuge islands, improve entry into commercial fishing precinct fuel storage area for servicing, define access into recreational boat ramp area.Total cost of proposed project is $500,000
Carnarvon Street - 042848-11WA-RTR
The existing roundabout has a badly deteriorated surface with cracking and numerous patches due to ground water entering the road structure from the grass area in the middle of the roundabout.It has an inadequate pavement depth.Pavement strengthening using imported materials and/or stabilisation techniques,will prevent cracking and stop ground water entering the road structure.Replacing the grass landscaping with low water use plants will stop the daily flooding of the surface.Total cost of proposed project is $408,300
