Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;

Freight rail upgrades between Sydney and Newcastle – Gosford Passing Loops
The Gosford Passing Loops (GPL) project enabled the construction of two new passing loops on the Main North Line between Sydney and Newcastle at Gosford, one northbound and one southbound to accommodate 1500 metre freight trains.
Eastmere Road (Rural Road) - 045683-11QLD-RTR
Existing seal has become brittle and is showing signs of oxidisation.Reseal the full width of the road using rubberised binder and a 10mm aggregateTotal cost of proposed project is $84,795
East Bowes Road (Rural Road) - 045726-11WA-RTR
To correct and make better the poor vision sight distances and narrow section of road considered dangerous on curves and crests, rough gravel road surface needs to be sealed for the saftey of traffic usersRoadside clearing of vegetation, purchasing, widening and installation of culverts for drainage, pushing and screening of gravel in preparation for sealing, puchasing of signs and guide post for the road. Forming the road and sub base, gravel sheeting the road in preparation for a 7.0 metre wide seal from 0.00 straight line kilometre to 9.2 straight line kilometresTotal cost of proposed project is $1,850,000
Nicholson Block Road - 045733-11WA-RTR
Access to the "Nicholson Block" Indigenous Community community has previously been by an unmade "Dirt Track" which is severely corrogated and rutted.To improve access to the community a new road will then be constructed and sealed on the same allignment. Works will be sealed to 7 metre width. Formal Road approval (dedication) has been in progress since 2011 and is now nearly complete.
Booborowie Road (previously Road 137) (Rural Road), - 045771-11SA-RTR
Booborowie Road is a major commodity route running north/south in a heavy cropped agricultural area. Increase of heavy vehicles over harvest periods (Cropping/hay). The next 6km has been re sheeted over last 3 years and is an ideal opportunity to upgrade before degredation occurs.Intersection redesign of Leighton Road to Booborowie Road including realignement of Leighton Road, land acquisition, drainage works, earthworks with sub base material brought up to specified level and signage. Outcome will improve overall sight distances, correct the geometry of the surves and amend the elevation of the road.
Gwynn Hughes Street, Bargo - 045784-11NSW-RTR
Existing road is unsealed and narrow, with poor drainage.The proposal is to construct road for a length of 350m and a sealed width of 6.0m. Work will include table drains, widening and strengthening the road and provide sealed surface. It also provides for pipes and headwalls for driveways.
Garfield Road, Numbugga - 045785-11NSW-RTR
The Timber on Handscombes Bridge are starting to deteriorate and require replacing.Replace timber abutments with concrete, replace piers with steel columns and concrete footings
Woodstock Road (Berrigan) - 045789-12NSW-RTR
This section of road is below adopted service width for the classification of this road. the narrow seal width is creating dangerous conditions for traffic that has to leave the sealed surface for passing traffic and with edge drop offs from the sealed surfaceI is proposed to reconstruct the subject section of road to include: widening of the formation, stabilising of the subgrade and existing pavement material to a nominal depth of 200mm, and finally the application of a two coat bitumenous seal to a width of 6.0m on the straaigh and 6.5m on the curves.Total cost of proposed project is $216,763
South Coree Road (Rural Road) - 045790-12NSW-RTR
This section of road is below adopted sevice width for the classification of this road. The narrow seal witdh is creating dangerous conditions for traffic that has to leave the sealed surface for passing traffic and with edge drop offs from the sealed surfaceIt is proposed to reconstruct the subject section of road to include: widening of the formation, stabilising of the subgrade and existing pavement amterial to a nominal depth of 200mm, and finally the application of a two coat bitumenous seal to a width of 7.5m total
