Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

French Street, Gladstone - 046257-12QLD-RTR
Pavement is stressing due to saturation and heavy vehicle movements to local industry.Pavement strengthened. Improve subsoil drainage and kerbing to eliminate pavement saturation. Reseal and reasphalt.Total cost of proposed project is $750,000
Percy Street, Williamstown - 046262-12VIC-RTR
Road has deteriorated to the extend that the kerb and channel has sunk and is holding water and the road pavement is nearing the end of its service life.Replace Kerb and Channel on both sides, reinstate vehicle crossings & road shoulder, associated drainage and asphalt overlay.Total cost of proposed project is $600,000
Namarada Drive (Rural Road - Top End) - 046279-12NT-RTR
The road is unsealed with loss of gravel, loss of profile/crossfall and poor drainage. The road is prone to dust, corrugations and scouring. The project will improve the current conditions and provide a safer road.Upgrade section of Namarada Drive to seal standards.
Namatjira Kintore Link Road (Rural - Alice Springs) - 046281-12NT-RTR
The road is worn significantly below ground level with high wind rows, resulting in poor drainage and regular road closures in wet weather, narrow width and poor line of sight. The road is only one vehicle width in places.The scope of work includes removing the high wind rows, utilising the material to lift and reform the pavement, reinstate flood ways and natural drainage, improve line of sight and sand clay formation to be gravel sheeted.
Shell Pit Road, Smoky Bay - 046319-12SA-RTR
Poor material type of existing road base results in rough and slippery surfaceReshape and compact existing pavement, raise, crush and lay new rubble base course, trim & compact, signage & delineationTotal cost of proposed project is $66,280
Wilson Street, Wyalkatchem - 046334-12WA-RTR
Deterioration and wear of the existing seal on Wilson Street between Honour Avenue and Riches Street with cracks and potholes in carriageway. On Wilson Street between Riches Street and the Cooperative Bulk Handling Facility pavement is subject to poor drainage and severe corrugations.Full reconstruction, cement stabilization and primer seal of both sections of Wilson Street.Total cost of proposed project is $244,919
Borung Hurstwood Road (Rural Road) - 046347-12VIC-RTR
The pavement in this section has deterioated significantly with a number of failures including pavement shoving, depressions and wheel tracking which hold significant amounts of surface water when it rainsIt is proposed to mix and cement stabilise the existing pavement to a width of 6.2 meters then resheet with 100mm of Class 2 Fine Crushed Rock to a width of 9.2 meters which includes the road shoulder and then apply a 10mm primer seal over the 6.2 meter pavement
Jones Lane (Rural Road) - 046353-12NSW-RTR
Increased complaints arising from public expectation of town services on fringe of town, dust for nearby residences, and drainage problem of localised flash flooding.Top up and reshape gravel, upgrade drainage and seal 0.9km.
Middlefield Road (Rural Road) - 046354-12NSW-RTR
Long gravel causeway at Albert Creek is often boggy and impassable during and after rainfalls. Large culverts under adjacent railway line carry large flows.Construct bitumen sealed causeway to carry high volumes and a culvert to carry the low flows.
Yambora Road (Rural Road) - 046356-12NSW-RTR
Sealed causeway has been washed out twice in a year from fast flowing flash flooding, resulting closure of the road until repairs can be made.Repair and upgrade the causeway and culvert structure, harden the surface using concrete instead of bitumen seal and place reno mattresses to stabilise the creek bed. Upgrading work to be done in conjunction with flood damage repairs.
