Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

Booleroo Pekina Road (Rural Road) - 046686-12SA-RTR
Upgrading of an existing unsealed rural road to a sealed standard. The road is a heavily used road and a critical linkage between the townships of Booleroo Centre and Pekina (and ultimately Orroroo). It is an important freight, tourist and social route. In its current form, the road quickly deteriorates following maintenance and is unsafe once pot holes and rutting occur. There is also a danger associated with dust during dryer periods and during the wetter months, the road is slippery. The commuity does not accept that a road of this level of importance should be unsealed.Upgrade and seal 6400 metres of the Booleroo Centre to Pekina road. Sealing will commence from the end of the existing seal on the Eastern side of the Booleroo Centre township and will continue right through to the Council boundary. The nighbouring Council is also upgrading and sealing their section of the road as part of this joint project.Total cost of proposed project is $1,590,000
Brazier Road - 046687-12WA-RTR
To reduce vehicle speed along Brazier Road(ie: the road carriageway is currently 10m wide and encourages speeding in excess of the 50kph urban speed limit).Installation of raised median islands linked together with painted medians along Brazier Road from Lagoon Drive to Compass Circle.Total cost of proposed project is $75,278
Slee Street, Melrose - 046688-12SA-RTR
Upgrading an existing unsealed township street to a sealed standard. The road presently does not meet community expectations, it creates a dust nuisance to adjoinng properties and due to the level of usage, deteriorates quickly after maintenance ie pot holes, ruts etc. Sealing will also improve the overall amenity of the area.Upgrade and seal 200 metres of Slee Street in the Melrose township
Brewery Street, Melrose - 046689-12SA-RTR

Bulwarra Way - 046690-12WA-RTR
Substandard existing road carriageway, with limited stormwater drainage control. NOTE: This road forms part of "Old" Quinns Rocks that was originally developed as a seaside holiday location and is now surrounded by new land subdivisonal development.Rehabilitation of the existing carriageway (where required) and associated stormwater drainage system upgrade to urban subdivisonal standard for the full length of the road. Works will also include upgrade of existing kerbing, replacement of the existing footpath (where required) and reconnection of existing vehicle crossovers impacted by the drainage works.Total cost of proposed project is $117,305
First Street, Wilmington - 046691-12SA-RTR

Bray Street - 046714-12SA-RTR
There is major delaminating of the surface, with wheel rutting and areas of Pavement failure, this is a high volume traffic road and is a Bus RouteEdge plane the asphalt 50mm, deep lift the pavement failures and the areas of delamination, the complet the project with a 50mm seal with modified AC – 4332 sq m
Georges Creek Road, (Rural Road) - 046720-12VIC-RTR
Road is narrow and poorly aligned with two major culverts that need upgrading.Replace two major culverts. Widen, reconstruct and seal 0.7km of road.
Tallangatta Lookout Road, Tallangatta - 046722-12VIC-RTR
Pavement is due for resealing under annual program in accordance with condition rating.Reseal to 4.5m average width over 1.47km.
Westwood Drive, Burnside Heights - 046729-12VIC-RTR
No road currently exists at this location - this new connection will complete the construction of Westwood Drive providing access along the full length from Western Highway to Taylors Road.Construction of 780 metres of 8 metre wide, two lane road and 70 metres of bridge over Kororoit Creek to match. No road currently exists at this location - this new connection will complete the construction of Westwood Drive providing access along the full length from Western Highway to Taylors Road. Stage 1 of the works includes the purchase of land to facilitate construction, clearing and grubbing of the site, 80% of top soil removal, 50% of bulk earthworks, 70% of the pavement capping layer and miscellaneous drainage works. This Stage of the works was completed by 31st December 2014. The total project cost shown below is for this stage of the works. Stage 2 of the works will include the balance of the construction including bridgeworks, deep strength asphalt pavement, kerb and channel and along footpath both sides of the road and pedestrian refuges. This work will be commenced once all approvals in place. Funding for this stage of the project will be sought from the next round of Roads to Recovery funding.Total cost of proposed project is $2,090,000
