Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Freight rail upgrades between Sydney and Newcastle – Epping to Thornleigh Third Track
The Epping to Thornleigh Third Track Construction Project enabled the construction of a third track between Epping and Thornleigh for northbound freight trains travelling up the steep climb at this location.
Orallo Road, Rural Road - 035194-09QLD-RTR
The road in its current state has a very thin five (5) metre poorly formed gravel running surface. The drainage strutures along this section are inadequate and are unable to handle the overland stormwater run off during the summer months. This results in severe scouring and washouts along the road.Rehabilitate, Widening and Seal Orallo Road to seven (7) metre bitumen seal from 16.50km to 19.50km (Goldsbrough). Install several new and widen existing drainage structures.Total cost of proposed project is $1,022,777
Tarcoon Road (Rural Road) - 046730-12NSW-RTR
Road has eroded away over the years due to drought and recent heavy rains. Causeway and dips are impassable in wet weather, Council has had to spend continued funds rescueing vehicles trapped in wet weatherReformation grading of the full 20.75 kilometres of road to elevate it to its original condition leaving a 5 percent crossfall on the surface to help drainage. Gravel resheeting of existing causeways at chainages 1.16, 2.86, 4.54, 7.45, 10.56, 11.24 and 13.42 to allow traffic to pass after wet weather.
Mascot Road (Rural Road) - 046732-12NSW-RTR
The road has eroded away over the years due to drought leaving it flat and unable to drain.Full reformation grade to ellevate the road and leave a 5 percent crossfall on the surface improve drainage.
The Dowling Track (Rural Road) - 046737-12NSW-RTR
Bitumen floodway has deteriorated over the years and needs to be reconstructed.A 40 metre concrete floodway installed at the main channel, the existing seal to the approaches needs to be reconstructed and sealed with a class 170 bitumen and 20 millimetres and 10 millimetre aggregate, the footing and spillways need to be repaired at various inervals along the crossing.
