Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Old Toogoom Road - Hervey Bay
The project completed unfinished works on Old Toogoom Road to bring the road to a higher standard.
Bruce Highway – Yellow Gin Bridge Upgrade
This project replaced the existing Yellow Gin Creek Bridge to a two-way, two lane standard. Approaches will be higher and wider, with an 11m seal width. The project also includes an intersection upgrade at Beachmont Road.
Bruce Highway – Cooroy to Curra – Section C
The Cooroy to Curra Section C project delivered 10.5km of new four-lane divided highway between Traveston Road, where the previously duplicated Section B ends, to Woondum Road, south of Gympie. The project scope included: new interchange at Woondum Road; approximately two kilometres of single carriageway from Woondum Road to connect to the existing Bruce Highway at Woondum; construction of bridges over Traveston Creek, Kybong Creek, Cobbs Gully and Jackass Creek; and three new bridges over Tandur Road, Woondum Road and at the Woondum ramps. The Section C project forms part of the 62km Bruce Highway – Cooroy to Curra upgrade. Section C is the third section of the Cooroy to Curra upgrade to be constructed and will join the completed Section B (Federal to Traveston) to the south at the existing Traveston Road interchange.
Bruce Highway – Sarina Northern Access Upgrade
The Sarina Northern Access upgrade will see the installation of a roundabout at the Sarina Beach Road intersection as well as pavement rehabilitation on the immediate approaches.  The scope also includes: The duplication of the existing Bruce Highway on the approaches and departures to the upgraded intersection with a 4-lane, median separated carriageway within the existing road reserve width; and The relocation of conflicting existing Public Utility Plant (PUP) infrastructure, and minor drainage works (including improvements to surface drainage from the west side of the Bruce Highway).
Bruce Highway – Tinana Interchange
The Tinana Interchange project involved:- realignment of the northbound off ramp (exiting to the left of Bruce Highway) and new overpass onto Gympie Road, - realignment of the southbound off ramp from Bruce Highway onto Gympie Road, - realignment of the southbound on ramp from Gympie Road to Bruce Highway and the combination of the currently separated- northbound and southbound lanes on the Bruce Highway on the current southbound lane alignment. The project also involved the demolition of the existing bridge and the movement of the intersection at Three Mile Road, further south.
Bruce Highway - Mackay Intersection Upgrade - Stage 2
This project will upgrade the Lagoon Street and Nebo Street intersection (in southern Mackay) through the addition of turning and through lanes.
Bruce Highway – Sandy Gully Bridge Upgrade
The project involved the replacement of the former Sandy Gully Bridge with a 70 metre bridge and culverts to improve flood immunity. Approaches to the bridge were replaced on the new alignment. The project also included the upgrade of intersections at East Euri Road, Smiths Road and Bergyl Street.
Bruce Highway – Cattle and Frances Creeks Upgrade
The project involves the upgrade of a 5.8 kilometre section of the Bruce Highway, from just south of Pappins Road/Helen’s Hill intersection to just north of Pomona Road intersection as a two lane, undivided carriageway. This project will construct a new 644 metre long bridge over Cattle Creek, replacing the existing low-level bridge, and construct a new, higher-level section of the Bruce Highway from Cattle Creek to Pomona Road, south of Toobanna. The project will also upgrade the existing Bruce Highway from just south of the Pappins Road/Helen’s Hill Road intersection to Frances Creek Bridge to widen the existing pavement and build a new, wider bridge over Frances Creek.  Identified flooding spots will also be addressed, with major culverts in the vicinity of Pappins Road and Pennas Road, as well as upgrading a series of rural intersections along this stretch of the Bruce Highway.  The project will reduce the frequency and extent of road closures at Cattle and Frances Creeks, providing economic and social benefits.
South Eastern Freeway – Mount Barker (Bald Hills Road) Interchange
The project involved the construction of an interchange on the South Eastern Freeway at Bald Hills Road. Works included west-facing and east-facing ramps as well as a new roundabout at the Old Princes Highway and Bald Hills Road junction.
Bucketts Way Upgrade
The project will involve the rehabilitation of sections of The Bucketts Way in the Gloucester Shire and Greater Taree City local government areas.
