Clyde Road Upgrade
This project is expected to upgrade the two intersections at Clyde Road and Kangan Drive and Clyde Road and Monash Freeway. The upgrade is expected to include widening of the Monash Freeway bridge, three through lanes in each direction, additional turning lanes and a shared path in each direction over the bridge. The project is also expected to include freeway terminal upgrades, improved right turn storage on the bridge structure and a provision for a future signalised intersection. The Clyde Road intersections provide primary access into the Berwick Health and Education Precinct and experience a considerable level of competing demand from various movements.
Pakenham Roads Upgrade
The project is expected to duplicate Racecourse Road between the Princes Freeway and Henry Street in Pakenham, and upgrade McGregor Road and Racecourse Road interchanges. This includes the signalisation of the intersection at Bald Hill Road, upgrading the Princes Freeway overpass, upgrading the McGregor Road interchange with the Pakenham Bypass, new freeway ramps and the widening of McGregor Road between the northern freeway roundabout and Webster Way.
M5 Motorway - Moorebank Avenue - Hume Highway Intersection Upgrade
This project includes two components:The M5 Westbound Traffic Upgrade, which provides a new three-lane bridge over the Georges River and rail line, connecting the M5 Motorway and Moorebank Avenue to the Hume Highway; andThe M5 Motorway/Moorebank Avenue Intersection Upgrade, which will widen three of the four interchange ramps.
Manns Road – Intersection Upgrades at Narara Creek Road and Stockyard Place
This project involves planning for intersection upgrades along Manns Road, including two key intersection upgrades at Manns Road and Stockyard Place, West Gosford and Manns Road and Narara Creek Road, Narara. Manns Road connects the Central Coast Highway to the industrial area of West Gosford and Pacific Highway at Narara. The section of Manns Road proposed for upgrade has a history of crashes mainly near intersections and driveways. This project supports improved road safety, improved pedestrian and cyclist safety, reduced travel times and reduced congestion on the Central Coast. Construction funding has been reserved pending additional planning works.
Stacey Street Bankstown - Planning
The project will provide funding to develop a Final Business Case for the upgrade of Stacey Street in Bankstown, including a business case for stage two and complete enabling works. The project forms part of the major north south movement corridor within Sydney. These sections are the last remaining four lane sections, with six lanes either side between the M4 and M5. The project includes planning for grade separation of Stacey Street and the Hume Highway, two major freight corridors.
Indian Ocean Drive - Jurien Bay to Brand Highway
The project will realign, improve and widen seals on Indian Ocean Drive between Jurien Bay and the Brand Highway. The coast between Jurien and Dongara is home to a large fishing and lime sand industry. The route has seen significant increases in traffic volumes as it provides enhanced accessibility and separation from heavy vehicles on Brand Highway. The increases in traffic have highlighted deficiencies in the older section to cope with the increased traffic and the need for an increase in dedicated passing lanes along the route. The project is expected to improve road safety and efficiency on Indian Ocean Drive, which provides access to tourist areas to the north of Perth.
Kalgoorlie Rail Realignment - Business Case
The project involves development of a business case for a realignment of the rail line through Kalgoorlie. The business case will look into rail designs that will support efficient access and industrial development in the area.
Mandurah Estuary Bridge Duplication
The project will construct a new two lane road bridge and a Principal Shared Path next to the southern side of the existing Mandurah Estuary Bridge with associated works.
Orrong Road Upgrade
The project will fund planning works for an expressway that connects the Graham Farmer Freeway to Leach Highway along Orrong Road, including the development of a business case to assess the scope, design and cost of the expressway.
Perth Airport Precinct - Northern Access
The project will construct a grade separated interchange at Great Eastern Highway Bypass and Kalamunda Road and replace the existing load limited Kalamunda Road Bridge over rail with a new four lane bridge with full carrying capacity.
