Toodyay Road Upgrade - Dryandra to Toodyay
The project will undertake realignments of sub-standard curves, intersection improvements, provision of passing lanes and seal widening on Toodyay Road from Dryandra to Toodyay. Toodyay Road forms part of the Roe Highway to Toodyay Route that links the north-eastern Wheatbelt to the Perth metropolitan area. This project aims to improve road safety for all road users and improve travel times and freight performance. The route currently services over 2,800 vehicles per day and carries an increasing volume of commuter and tourist traffic and heavy vehicles, with heavy vehicles comprising 11.6 per cent of the daily traffic.
Reid Highway – Altone Road and Daviot Road / Drumpellier Drive - Grade Separated Intersections
The project will construct grade separations at the intersection of Reid Highway and Altone Road and at the intersection of Reid Highway, Daviot Road and Drumpellier Drive. Reid Highway (west of West Swan Road) has an average weekday traffic volume of 27,060 vehicles with 10.7 per cent heavy vehicles, which results in congestion and safety concerns. With the completion of NorthLink WA, the majority of Reid Highway is now grade separated. Grade separations at these proposed intersections will reduce congestion, improve travel times and improve road safety for all users.
WA Agricultural Supply Chain Improvements - Package 1
The project will undertake various rail upgrades and associated adjustments to local roads impacted by longer trains loading grain in the Wheatbelt and Great Southern regions of Western Australia. It will also include various upgrades on roads used by the agricultural sector in the Wheatbelt, Midwest and Goldfields-Esperance regions.  The improvements will increase road safety by supporting the transport of more grain on rail and less by road. Upgrades to allow longer grain trains will reduce rail freight costs for grain growers and increase grain export supply chain capacity.
Wanneroo Road - Dunstan Road to Romeo Road - Duplication
The project will duplicate Wanneroo Road from Dunstan Road to south of Romeo Road and Karoborup Road. Duplication of Wanneroo Road will improve connectivity in the northern suburbs, support the expansion of Perth’s fast growing outer northern suburbs and ensure consistency in road environment and safety standards.
Tenterfield to Newcastle
This investment will deliver targeted upgrades along the Tenterfield to Newcastle Corridor in New South Wales, including the New England Highway, which contributes to the competitiveness of Australia's agricultural and mining sectors.  The upgrades are designed to address issues impacting the performance of this critical freight corridor including congestion, reduced freight productivity, safety issues and amenity issues.  The following projects along the Corridor were announced as part of the 2021-22 Budget:  Bald Nob Road upgrade Sunnyside Platform Road upgrade An additional four projects were added to the Corridor at the 2021-22 Mid-Year Economic and Fiscal Outlook (MYEFO): Goonoo Goonoo Road Duplication - Greg Norman Drive to Calala Lane Sandy Hollow Rest Area upgrade, Golden Highway Rocky Cut Realignment, which involves upgrades to the New England Highway at Rocky Cut, Wingen. New England Highway Corridor - priority intersection upgrades, which involves upgrades to priority intersections along the corridor, including at Willow Tree and Glennies Creek Road, and if funding allows, at Segenhoe Road.
Beerburrum to Nambour Duplication Study
This study will preserve a corridor and consider options for future upgrades to the North Coast Line from Beerburrum to Nambour beyond what is currently being delivered under Stage 1 of the Beerburrum to Nambour Rail Upgrade project.
Bruce Highway Additional Funding
This is additional funding for the Australian Government’s more than $10 billion commitment towards the Bruce Highway Upgrade Program and will support the delivery of the next priority upgrades between Gladstone to Rockhampton and Mackay to Proserpine, as determined by the Australian and Queensland governments.  These next priority upgrades will improve safety, efficiency, freight productivity and flood immunity along these key sections of the Bruce Highway.
Maryborough-Hervey Bay Road and Pialba-Burrum Heads Road Intersection upgrade
This project is expected to include: Duplication of Pialba-Burrum Heads Road to four lanes, between Scrub Hill Road and Maryborough-Hervey Bay RoadDuplication of Maryborough-Hervey Bay Road from Urraween Road to Pialba-Burrum Heads RoadSignalisation of the Maryborough-Hervey Bay Road/Pialba-Burrum Heads Road intersection.
Caboolture – Bribie Island Road (Hickey Road - King John Creek) upgrade
This project will undertake planning to duplicate Caboolture-Bribie Island Road between King John Creek and Hickey Road to improve safety and capacity, with the final cost and scope subject to outcomes of the business case and detailed design. Construction funding has been reserved pending additional planning works.
Cairns Western Arterial Road Duplication Planning
The project will plan for the duplication of the two-lane section of the Cairns Western Arterial Road between Redlynch Connector Road and the Captain Cook Highway to a four-lane dual carriageway.
