Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

Oregon Road (rural road) - 113819-20NSW-RTR
Due to a lack of gravel present on Oregon Road, it becomes impassable in many sections after relatively small amounts of rainfall. When wet, traction is significantly impeded resulting in safety concerns and low travel speeds. Project is co-funded by Fixing Local Roads Program.Resheeting approximately 27km of Oregon Road with imported gravel and dust suppressing binder where existing gravel has been worn to expose the underlying subgrade. Where imported gravel is present, in situ crushing of gravelto reduce damage to vehicles and improve safety.Total cost of proposed project is $1,790,000
Road Safety Program - WA (Regional)
The project will undertake road safety treatments works across the road network in Western Australia. The works vary across the state but include a mix of: sealing of shoulders widening the road formation installation of audible edge lines installation of audible centre lines
Badgally Road
Project combined with Badgally Road - Local Roads Package 097362-18NSW-ARF Upgrade of Badgally Road between Eagle Vale Drive and North Steyne Road, including: widening from 2 lanes to 4 lanes installation of kerb and guttering installation of directional signage central concrete medians provision of indented bus bay off-road shared pathway new traffic control signals at the intersection of Badgally Road with Clydesdale Drive and Badgally Road with North Steyne Road roundabout at Glenroy Road (formally Dobell Road) intersection
Sydney Metro - Western Sydney Airport
The project will deliver a new 23 kilometre metro railway that will connect Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport (WSIA) to Sydney's public transport network. The project includes six new metro stations at: St Mary's, interchanging with the existing suburban railway station and connecting customers with the rest of Sydney's rail system; Orchard Hills, to service a future commecial and mixed-use precinct; Luddenham, to service a future education, innovation and commercial precinct; Two stations within the airport site, at the airport terminal and at airport business park; and Western Sydney Aerotropolis (Bradfield)
Tasmanian Freight Rail Revitalisation – Tranche 3 – Rail Renewal - Off Network
The Tasmanian Freight Rail Revitalisation - Tranche 3 - Rail Renewal - Off Network project undertook key works where required to the Melba, Derwent Valley and Fingal Rail Lines including: track works upgrades with the replacement of rail, sleepers and ballast including formation renewal work and trackside drainage; earthworks strengthening and reconstructions; upgrades to priority bridges and major culverts that have a minimum remaining service life of less than five years; undertake coastal erosion and landslips remediation work in priority areas including installation of monitoring equipment; upgrade of priority level crossings; and construction and modification works within terminals and yards.
Narrabri to Turrawan Line Upgrade
Narrabri to Turrawan Line Upgrade to enhance the quality and capability of the line to deliver a rail corridor capable of 25 Tonne Axle Load trains at 80 km/h.
Southern Highlands Overtaking Opportunities
Southern Highlands Overtaking Opportunities project comprises rail infrastructure works at two separate locations, at both Werai near Moss Vale, and Joppa Junction near Goulburn, to enable freight trains up to 1,800 metres in length to be overtaken by faster services. The works proposed at both locations are installation of four high speed crossovers, associated track, civil, signalling and electrical works.
Cahills Road, (rural road) - 113821-20NSW-RTR
Reseal on previous years spray sealsPlace bitumen spray seal coat.Total cost of proposed project is $99,140
Three Chain Road, Calavos - 113822-20QLD-RTR
Three Chain Road is an unsealed collector road facilitating residential and agricultural traffic. With the current increase in development in Elliott Heads and Coral Cove, the traffic demand on this east-west connector is forecasted to significantly increase. There are significant ongoing maintenance costs associated with grading and resheeting as the traffic volume using the road increases.The proposed sealing of Three Chain Road will significantly improve safety for road users by providing an improved wearing surface. The sealing of the roadway will dramatically reduce expensive ongoing maintenance.Total cost of proposed project is $1,945,608
Birthamba Road, South Kolan - 113823-20QLD-RTR
Birthamba Road is a narrow sealed road (5.5 – 6.3m wide) facilitating over 800 vehicles per day including school buses, posing significant safety risks to road users. There are significant ongoing maintenance costs associated with edge grading and seal edge breaks.The proposed widening will significantly improve the safety for road users including school buses by providing additional width and improving delineation. The additional width will ultimately reduce expensive ongoing maintenance issues on the road shoulder.Total cost of proposed project is $1,581,281
