Project description

Due to a lack of gravel present on Oregon Road, it becomes impassable in many sections after relatively small amounts of rainfall. When wet, traction is significantly impeded resulting in safety concerns and low travel speeds. Project is co-funded by Fixing Local Roads Program.

Resheeting approximately 27km of Oregon Road with imported gravel and dust suppressing binder where existing gravel has been worn to expose the underlying subgrade. Where imported gravel is present, in situ crushing of gravelto reduce damage to vehicles and improve safety.

Total cost of proposed project is $1,790,000
