Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Carnarvon-Mullewa Road (Rural Road) - 056772-15WA-RTR
The Road has sharp crests and bends through 3.25 kilometres of breakaway country. It becomes quite corrugated as traffic tends to slow at the crests and bends and then accelerate coming out of them.The work proposes to lower the crests and widen the bends between straight line kilometre 4 and straight line kilometre 7.25 south from the intersection with Butchers Track and then re-form and re-sheet. There are currently six floodways through that section of breakaway, two of which have culverts. It is proposed to add culverts to another three of the floodways. The resheet/reseal has gone well over budget and so it is proposed that the seven metre bitumen seal will be delayed until November/December 2016, when it is warmer and to tie in with two other jobs to get economy of scale.
Leongatha Yarragon Road - 056773-15VIC-RTR
Road pavement has failed due to poor subgrade and has become a hazard to road users and the general public.It is proposed to cement stabilize 200 millimetres of existing road pavement and to add and additional 100 millimetres of Class 2 crushed rock, then add a 10 millimetre bitumen seal.
Wanaaring Road, Rural Road, - 056775-15NSW-RTR
Road is closed for extended periods following rain events due to poor existing creek and floodway construction.Reconstruct 19 creek crossings and floodways including reshaping approaches and importing crushed gravel.
Hurdle Flat Road, (rural road) - 056776-15VIC-RTR
The existing bitumen surface has deteriorated resulting in cracking, potholing and a smooth slippery surfaceBitumen resealing for a total length of 2,110 metres
Bass Valley Road - 056777-15VIC-RTR

Turpentine Road, Jerrawangala - 056778-15NSW-RTR
The road is a narrow, winding gravel road with high maintenance costs and poor driving conditions.The work involves widening the existing pavement and overlaying it with additional gravel and bitumen sealing the surfaceTotal cost of proposed project is $3,900,000
Carnarvon Mullewa Road (Rural Road) - 056779-15WA-RTR
The road passes approximately two hundred metres to the west of the Bullardoo Homestead and creates dust issues for the residents.Re-form and re-sheet a nine hundred metre length of road at straight line kilometre 4 to straight line kilometre 4.9 from the intersection with old New Forest Yallalong Road in readiness for sealing. Sealing now to be completed in November/December 2016 when the weather is warmer, along with two other jobs to get economy of scale.
Upriver Road (rural road) - 056783-15VIC-RTR
Existing intersection layout is identified as a significant safety hazard with alignment a major factor.Realign intersection to give Up river Road priority over Gooramadda Road and improve approaches and road signage
Fowlers Road, Ellinbank - 056784-15VIC-RTR
Section of road contains insufficient pavement and requires constant maintenance worksResheet unsealed road with 100mm Class 3 crushed rock, form drains and perform localised drainage works to improve road condition in this section.
Chester Street Woollahra - 056785-15NSW-RTR
Road pavement is rutted on the wheel paths and subsided about 75%.It is proposed to excavate and reseal out of asphalt concrete.Total cost of proposed project is $64,347
