Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. McIver Road, Mareeba - 058079-15QLD-RTR
The existing 3.5m wide bitumen seal and concrete causeway is too narrow for the number of school buses and passenger vehicles now using this section of McLver Road. Two vehicles are unable to pass without utilising the unsealed road verge or the table drain which creates an unsafe environment for the road users. The existing road pavement is also substandard and is showing signs of detoriation from heavy use by commercial vehicles.The proposed works include the widening of the existing 3.5m wide bitumen road to 7.5m to allow the safe passing of school buses and passenger vehicles and the reconstruction of the road pavement to improve it's load bearing capacity. This work also includes the widening of an existing concrete causeway.
Brickley Street - 058080-15QLD-RTR
The street is not sealed full width to the existing kerb and channel, which creates a dust problem in the dry season and is too boggy in the wet when cars enter and exit their properties.The proposed works include widening of the existing bitumen by approximately 3.0m each side to connect with the existing kerb and channel
Chewko Road (rural road) - 058081-15QLD-RTR
The existing 3.5m wide bitumen seal is too narrow for the number of commercial and passenger vehicles now using this section of Chewko Road. Two vehicles are unable to pass without utilising the unsealed road verge or the table drain which creates an unsafe environment for the road users. Two vehicles are unable to pass without utilising the unsealed road, verge or the table drain which creates an unsafe environment for the road users.The proposed works include the widening of the existing 4.0m wide bitumen road to 6.5m to allow the safe passing of commercial and passenger vehicles.
Kay Road (rural road) - 058083-15QLD-RTR
The existing 4.0m wide bitumen seal is too narrow for the number of commercial vehicles now using this section of Kay Road. Two vehicles are unable to pass without utilising the unsealed road verge or the table drain which creates an unsafe environment for the road users.The proposed works include the widening of the existing 4.0m wide bitumen road to 6.5m to allow the safe passing of commercial and passenger vehicles.
Koah Road - 058084-15QLD-RTR
The existing 3.5m wide bitumen seal is too narrow for the number of vehicles now using this section of Koah Road. Two vehicles are unable to pass without utilising the unsealed road verge or the table drain which creates an unsafe environment for the road users.The proposed works include the widening of the existing 3.5m wide bitumen road to 6.5m to allow the safe passing of two vehicles without the need to utilise the gravel verge.
Springmount Road - 058085-15QLD-RTR
The timber girders which support the 24.0m long timber running deck are in poor condition due to their age, water damage and some infestation from white ants.Proposed works include the removal of the existing timber deck and timber girders and replace with concrete interlocking girders and undertake some minor roadway approach works.Total cost of proposed project is $590,537
Cater Road - 058088-15QLD-RTR
Cater Road is a gravel road adjacent to a local school which is used by buses and parents picking up and dropping students. This is causing a dust problem in the dry season and boggy conditions in the wet.The proposal is to seal Cater Road and construct a sealed bus pull over bay adjacent to the school to provide students with safe and easy access to the buses.Total cost of proposed project is $318,517
