Evans Road (rural road) - 068808-16NSW-RTR
The surface of Evans Road in the proposed work location is unsealed and does not have sufficient road base, which results in potholes and ruts, which reduces the speed at which vehicles may travel along the road. Furthermore, the existing surface becomes slippery during and after rainfallOverlay the surface of a 2.0km section of Evans Road with 100mm compacted road base material.
Burke and Wills Track (Rural Road) - 068809-16VIC-RTR

Several isolated failures of the pavement along a 4.6km section of the road with breaking of the sealed surface caused by water ingress and heavy vehicle use.Heavy patching of 900 square metres in several sections. Existing base material will be stabilised with 3% by weight of 70:30 cement/flyash. The failed sections will be reshaped and recompacted then a two coat bitumen seal will be applied over the patch to seal the pavement from water ingress.
Rheban Road, Spring Beach - 068814-16TAS-RTR
The abovementioned 320 metre section is an existing bitumen road which is quite narrow and creates safety concerns due to the increased traffic volumes in the area. The road is also very deteriorated and requires a full reconstruction due to an unstable sub-base.It is proposed to construct a new wider bitumen sealed road, 6.5 metres in width, adjacent the existing alignment to avoid any traffic closure issues during construction and will also compliment the new two-way concrete bridge structure commencing soon. Once the new road is complete the existing old bitumen road will be removed and surface levels altered to match the existing carparking area.
