Carnarvon Mullewa Road (Rural) - 061093-15WA-RTR
The construction of the Ballinyoo Bridge has been successfully completed but 5 kilometres of road south of the bridge was damaged during gravel haulage. The contractor has done a maintenance grade, but the road needs re-forming and re-sheeting. Also, the bitumised southern approach is only 700 metres long, which creates safety issues for road-trains and general travellers. An application has been made to vary the unspent Mid West Investment Plan funds to extend the bitumen south for 5 kilometres and a contribution from another party would certainly help our case.Re-form, re-sheet and seal with four metre bitumen the Carnarvon Mullewa Road between Straight Line Kilometre 2.7 and Straight Line Kilometre 7.7 south from the intersection with the New Forest Yallalong Road.Total cost of proposed project is $1,285,000
Anzac Drive, Geneva, - 061122-15NSW-RTR
Pavement failure resulting from failed subgrade and base.Excavate 300mm, stabilise subgrade, replace sub base and base and seal with 35mmof asphalt.
Glen Davis Road - Glen Davis - 061307-15NSW-RTR
Severe surface rutting and potholing as a result of an unsealed surface being subject to adverse weather and predominant use by heavy traffic and poor weather conditions. Roadside drainage in this area is inadequate which exacerbates potholing and rutting.A 1,000m section of Glen Davis Road adjoining the exiting seal will be remediated and sealed. This area will be ripped, graded with new roadbase material, compacted and sealed with an 8m wide 14/7 two-coat seal. Table drains will be reformed and additional stormwater culverts and pipes will be installed to rectify drainage issues.
Glen Alice Road (Glen Alice) - 061308-15NSW-RTR
Severe surface rutting and potholing as a result of an unsealed surface being subject to adverse weather and predominant use by heavy traffic and poor weather conditions. Roadside drainage in this area is inadequate which exacerbates potholing and rutting.A 1,000m section of Glen Alice Road adjoining the exiting seal will be remediated and sealed. This area will be ripped, graded with new roadbase material, compacted and sealed with an 8m wide 14/7 two-coat seal. Table drains will be reformed and additional stormwater culverts and pipes will be installed to rectify drainage issues.
Sunny Corner Road (Portland) - 061309-15NSW-RTR
Subsurface instability has caused mass pavement failure over a 300m section. Such failures include surface cracking, potholing, edge cracking, depressions and raveling. The seal for this 300m section will be entirely removed. The subsurface will be ripped and blended with high quality road base. The road base will then be sufficiently compacted and allowed to sit for two weeks prior to seal to determine any further subsurface deficiencies. Upon rectification of any further issues, a two-coat 20/10 seal will be laid 10m wide and line marked accordingly. Table drains will be reformed and stormwater culverts and pipes will be cleared to rectify drainage issues.
Range Road (Portland) - 061310-15NSW-RTR
Subsurface instability has caused mass pavement failure over a 300m section. Such failures include surface cracking, potholing, shoving, edge cracking, depressions and raveling.
Hampton Road (Hampton) - 061311-15NSW-RTR
Subsurface instability has caused consistent pavement failure over two 500m sections. Such failures include surface cracking, potholing and edge cracking. Patching the road has proved to only temporarily solve the issue. The seal for these two 500m sections will be entirely removed. The subsurface will be ripped and blended with high quality road base. The road base will then be sufficiently compacted and allowed to sit for one weeks prior to seal to determine any further subsurface deficiencies. Upon rectification of any further issues, a two-coat 14/7 seal will be laid 8m wide and line marked accordingly. Table drains will be reformed and stormwater culverts and pipes will be cleared to rectify drainage issues.
