Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

The existing town road stormwater system cannot handle 1 in 1 year flows, causing the roads to become flooded and properties to be inundated with water.Remove existing pipework and replace with an increased diameter pipe and new pits that will handle the water flows

Inadequate storm water drainageUndertake storm water and drainage improvements by means of reconstructing the Avenue at a lower level, reinstating the two coat 14mm bitumen chip seal, installation of kerb and channel, and installation of 600 mm diameter reinforced concrete pipe and associated drainage structures to improve the Avenue amenities
Strawberry Drive, Seville Grove - 060873-15WA-RTR
Road has failures and isolated cracks in different sections. It has been patched in several locations during past years.Repair failed sections and reseal the whole road with 30mm thick asphalt - 7mm mix (AC7). Some sections of kerb will require replacement.Total cost of proposed project is $354,380
Giles-Mulga Park Road - 060895-15WA-RTR
Existing road traverses and winds through sandhill country, prone to sand drifts and inundation; narrow depressed formation/geometry with limited forward and horizontal sight distances.Reconstruct, widen and gravel sheet existing pavement; clear, form and gravel sheet new alignments through sandhills. Improve sight distances, install drainage and advisory signage for crests and curves. Road width 10m, total length of works 10km.
Warburton-Blackstone Road - 060896-15WA-RTR
Very low sections of road prone to severe corrugation, inundation and scouring/washouts after rain due to water flow velocity. This is dangerous for light vehicles and often renders road impassable to heavy traffic.Reconstruct road to improve formation and vertical geometry, carry out laterite gravel sheeting; install additional drainage, levee banks and causeways. Road width 10m, total length of works 20.7km.Total cost of proposed project is $700,000
Broome Street, Derby - 060897-15WA-RTR
Surface rutting, stripping and damage to edge break due to heavy vehicles entering the power stationTo undertake an asphalt overlay over the road surface in the turning areas of the heavy vehicles to preserve asset.Total cost of proposed project is $76,661

Extensive flood damage occurs after periods of heavy rainfall, with scouring and washouts of running surface and fast-flowing small creeks rendering road dangerous to all forms of traffic.Raise vertical alignment and formation with water-bound compacted gravel sheeting in preparation for sealing; improve drainage and install levee banks, box out and construct two rock-fill causeways. Cut down steep banks of creeks to reduce water flow velocity.Total cost of proposed project is $750,000
