Rheban Road, Orford - 061586-15TAS-RTR
Rheban Road is a bitumen sealed, main collector road between the townships of Orford and Spring Beach. Traffic volumes have significantly increased over the passed few years due to ongoing residential development and tourism. The existing sealed road pavement width is inadequate which creates safety concerns and there is continual stormwater flooding issues to adjoining properties due to lack of appropriate road drainage. It is proposed to widen the seal pavement of Rheban Road and install stormwater infrastructure along the eastern side to better manage localised stormwater issues.
Sandy Bay Road, Sandy Bay - 061587-15TAS-RTR
Areas of failed road pavement require renewal/refurbishment to provide a safe & trafficable surface Sections of kerb & gutter require replacement to ensure effective & efficient operation of road drainage system Improved pedestrian safety is required through provision of safe crossing points Sub-standard road width in some locations requires widening to provide safer passage for all types of vehicles, including cyclistsSelected sections of road pavement to be renewed including surface replacement Replacement of failed kerb & gutter together with associated footpath reinstatement/refurbishment in selected locations Undertake embankment excavation and associated embankment stabilisation works to effect road widening at identified locations. McCormicks Road - 061588-15VIC-RTR
Currently, a gravel shoulder exists and does not provide any protection to several nearby driving hazards such as a steep table drain, and cars appear to be overtaking turning vehicles on this gravel shoulder. There are also issues with the bus stopping in the through traffic lane, causing stoppages and some cars trying to overtake the parked bus by veering into the oncoming traffic lane. Additionally, several pavement defects are noticeable which will result in an unsafe road surface in the near future.Widening of McCormicks Road will occur at the Stud Court intersection for ~120m, and a bus recess will be constructed at the location of the existing bus stop (opposite 204 McCormicks Road). This involves road widening, construction of kerb and channel and drainage. An asphalt overlay will be completed from Hall Road to Brunnings Road to ensure a safe and consistent driving surface, following the widening works.
Violet Street, Frankston South - 061589-15VIC-RTR
Road pavement suffers from lack of effective drainage which is compromising the road condition. This is resulting in various surface defects which can become driver safety issues.Reconstruction of kerb and channel, and drainage along the full length of Violet Street, in order to preserve the road pavement. Construction of a drainage retention system at the low point of Violet Street to cater for high intensity rainfall events and to protect the road pavement. An asphalt overlay will be completed on the road surface to improve driver safety.
Sandy Bay Road, Sandy Bay - 061590-15TAS-RTR
Sections of kerb and gutter are in poor condition and are not functioning effectively. Also some new lighting is required to improve traffic and pedestrian safety.Replace sections of poor condition kerb and gutter and undertake lighting upgrade.Total cost of proposed project is $1,600,000
