Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Pavement of the road is in poor condition with potholes and surface irregularities and is unsuitable for current traffic volumes. Mann Street is a main entry point into Nambucca Heads and carries local and tourist traffic.Renewal of sections of the road by reconstruction with properly designed drainage, pavement layer and new AC wearing surface.

Malmsbury Drive, Meadow Heights - 055052-14VIC-RTR
Existing pavement is extremely old (beyond serviceable life) with significant deformation, rutting and cracking. Poor and inadequate drainage, including damaged kerb & channel and pits, has contributed to the pavement failure. This is also a bus route with rubber road cushions that are in extremely poor condition.Reconstruction of the section of road, including road pavement, underground drainage, kerb and channel and the replacement of the rubber road cushions with the precast concrete type.Total cost of proposed project is $556,633
McDouall Stuart Avenue, Whyalla - 055053-14SA-RTR
The pavement of McDouall Stuart Avenue between Iron Knob Road and Jenkins Avenue has reached the end of its useful life. It shows significant deterioration with large cracks, broken edges, broken kerbs and gutters, rutting and pot holes throughout. It poses major safety risk to road-users and the problem is compounded when the road is contaminated by bad weather. Please note: completion of this project has been effected by several weather and the seal scheduled for June will commence with a primer, subject to the moisture content being optimal, on Saturday 30 July 2016. Completion August 2016.Council proposes complete reconstruction of McDouall Stuart Avenue between Iron Knob Road and Jenkins Avenue. The total length for the work is approximately 1.130Km. The proposed reconstruction will replace the existing pavement and seal in order to renew its life span for another 20 years. Work will also include new kerbs & gutters, road shoulders, line-marking and signage. Council's road contractor Fulton Hogan has carried out inspection to confirm scope of work in December 2014. It estimated the total cost for the reconstruction would be in the region of $651,094 ex GST. With the allocated R2R fund of $565,160 for 2015/2016, Council will contribute its own fund to bridge the gap in construction cost.Total cost of proposed project is $841,047
Flags Rockedgial Road (rural road) - 055062-14NSW-RTR
The surface of Flags Rockedgial Road is unsealed and becomes slippery during rainfall. Also, deformations in the road surface occur due to inadequate depth of road base.Overlay the existing surface of Flags Rockedgial Road with 100mm compacted road base
