Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Moreduval Lane (Rural Road) - 061455-15NSW-RTR
The existing gravel road is constructed across a black soil plain and carries relatively high traffic volumes and heavy vehicles. The condition of the road deteriorates rapidly under traffic while the remote location of the road means it is often in poor condition for long periods of time.Construct a 400mm thick chemically stabilised gravel pavement on an 8m wide road formation and apply a 2 coat hot bitumen seal.Total cost of proposed project is $364,240
Lake Road (Rural Road) - 061458-15VIC-RTR
Location 1 has a steep corner with limited sight distance on a gravel road with a history of minor car accidents. Location 2 is a low section of gravel road that gets slippery in wet weather and has a failing pavement due to water penetration causing ongoing maintenance problems.Location 1 - Widen the corner and remove the inside bank Location 2 - Transport fill gained from Location 1 to Location 2 to build up road pavement by 0.5 m and improve driving surface.

Existing wearing surface has deteriorated due to the age of the pavement. Road pavement has developed pot-holes, excessive cracking and surface deformation.Surface wearing course 300m x 8m to be removed and replaced with new asphalt at 50mm depth.
Clear Hills Road,(Rural Road) - 061465-15NSW-RTR
The road pavement has extensive failures due to age and heavy traffic. Sections of the pavement are deformed and broken up and dangerous. Existing pavement is old and wear from traffic. The surface deteriorates and cracks form in the surface.It is proposed to carry out heavy patching of the failed areas and resealing works within the chainages. The patches will be ripped, lime stabilised, reshaped, compacted and sealed with a 2 coat seal. Material will be added where required. Line mark the road and install guide posts and required road signs.Total cost of proposed project is $193,646
