Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Treetop Terrace, Plenty - 061799-15VIC-RTR
Sugar Gum Boulevard, Tree Top Terrace and Mackelroy Road form a short cut between Plenty River Drive and Yan Yean Road. This is a short cut taken by parents collecting children at school pick up and drop off times. This is part of a bus route. Need to address excessive traffic speed and traffic volume taking a short cut along roads used by school children travelling to and from two nearby schools.Installation of 4 Bus Friendly Road Humps to reduce traffic speed and deter vehicles from taking a short cut through local streets.
RD-200_017-BR Callide Creek Bridge, Goovigen Connection Road (Rural Road) - 061801-15QLD-RTR
Level 3 Bridge Inspection indicated severe structural problems. The report indicated that Department of Transport and Main Roads defines a structure as defective when greater than 25% of principal components such as girders, piers etc, are rated as condition state 4 in a single abutment, pier or span group. The structure was assessed as being in an "overall" condition state 5, which is an extremely high risk to Banana Shire Council, with this bridge requiring immediate maintenance intervention.Replace and rehabilitate failed bridge componentsTotal cost of proposed project is $610,000

Sections along this road have been identified being a safety risk to motorists due to bad corrugation and numerous potholes100mm gravel resheeting/patching of 2km in total over 11.8km of unsealed road to improve road trafficability and safety for motorists
Lookerbie Circle Road (Rural Road) - 061805-15QLD-RTR
This section of road forms part of a school bus route and various sections were identified being a safety issue due to being badly corrugated with numerous potholes100mm gravel resheeting/patching over 200m in total over 22.8km of unsealed road to improve road trafficability and safety for school buses and motorists
Russells Lane (Rural Road) - 061806-15QLD-RTR
This section of road forms part of a school bus route and various sections were identified being a safety issue due to being badly corrugated with numerous potholes, including water pooling in the natural water course area restricting motorists/school buses access.100mm gravel resheeting/patching of 300m in total over 1.7km of unsealed road to improve road trafficability and safety for school buses and motorists, including installation of concrete floodway 30m x 6m

Barfield Road (Rural Road) - 061809-15QLD-RTR
Sections along this road forms part of a school bus route and various sections of the road were identified being a safety issue due to being badly corrugated with numerous potholes100mm gravel resheeting/patching of 600m in total over 41.24km of unsealed road to improve road trafficability and safety for school buses and motorists
