Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Unsealed urban road that is an ongoing maintenance liability. Dust and mud are an ongoing source of complaint from residents.Gravel existing alignment and bitumen seal. Upgrade intersections with side streets and renew laybacks as required.

Windurong Road (Rural) - 062483-15NSW-RTR
Regionally Significant Road formed from natural black soil. Sections of the road have been gravel sheeted over a period of 25 years this has since been blown off and washed away. The existing pavement is prone to deep lateral rutting and potholing as well as significant pavement failure over a distance of 300 metres.Reconstruct area of failed pavement, reshape road and gravel sheet – Win and cart gravel – Spread gravel at 6m wide X 130mm thick, compact to 100mm. Re-establish table and mitre drains.
Warren Road (Oxley Highway) Gilgandra - 062484-15NSW-RTR
Road is a State Highway (Oxley Highway HW11), the traveling surface was recently resealed by the Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) of New South Wales. The shoulders however are Councils responsibility and were in poor condition with deep cracking starting to show and severe potholing.Repair potholes, bitumen seal using 10mm aggregate for 1180m (both sides) by approximately 4.5m wide.
Federation Street Gilgandra - 062485-15NSW-RTR
Road is used by heavy vehicles to by-pass town centre, it is also a much shorter route connecting the Oxley Highway and the Castlereagh Highway. The road has sections of bitumen seal that are in excess of 20 years old. The pavement has started to deteriorate due to the heavy vehicle traffic, there also needs to be some minor alignment to a corner approaching a railway crossing. It is intended to re-habilitate 2.4km in two stages.Stage 1 will be the pavement and corner re-alignment survey and design with some initial earth works.
Simpson Street, Sale - 062486-15VIC-RTR
The existing road has no formal drainage, edges of seal are breaking away and potholes developing in shoulders which are requiring a high level of maintenance.Works include formalisation of roadway, including the installation of kerb and channel, stormwater drainage including pits and pipes, sealed and clear delineation of traffic lanes for safer vehicle movements, and to aline with current standards.Total cost of proposed project is $335,245
Tavistock Street, Torquay - 062489-15QLD-RTR
The existing seal is not adequate to service current traffic volumes and requires upgrade to asphalt.This project provides for a new asphalt overlay, which will be tied into the existing kerb and channel levels.
