Driftway Road (Rural Road) - 055024-14NSW-RTR
This section of road is narrow and at only 4 metres wide is deficient in width. The shoulders are devoid of gravel, creating a hazardous edge drop, particularly in wet conditions. The existing sealed surface is in good condition therefore it is proposed to widen the road rather than a complete rehabilitation. During the works, the scope of works expanded to include an intersection upgrade with Willawong Road, the extension and upgrade of 2 culverts and the application of a final 14/7mm 2 coat seal and reseal over the existing pavement.

Incorporating stabilization to increase sustainability of surface.
Denham St, Dimboola - 055026-14VIC-RTR

Webb Avenue, Forbes - 055027-14NSW-RTR
The existing sealed pavement is in a very poor condition. The existing seal has oxidised and has become brittle. This street is on the fringes of the Central Business District and is usually covered in small potholes. Council currently expends considerable patching resources maintaining this street. It is proposed to undertake microsurfacing of the road pavement. Microsurfacing is bituminous based polymer binder applied as thin slurry. A 7mm aggregate is used which gives an impression of an asphalt surface. It has been proven to be an effective treatment for ravelling, oxidisation, fills ruts, restores profile, and improves roughness and skid resistance. It is more cost effective than asphalt resurfacing and saves more than 50 per cent of the life cycle costs compared to an asphalt overlay.
