Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Westbury Road (Urban Road) South Launceston - 056586-15TAS-RTR
Westbury Road is a sub arterial road. The link carries around 9,000 vehicles per day and has a 60 kph speed limit. Since the construction of a new subdivision at Bertha Street there is an increase in rear end crashes in this section of road. It is proposed that reducing two lanes to a single uphill lane from Normanstone Road and the addition of a central median lane to provide for right turns into premises and side roads will assist in alleviating this problem.Paint new line marking , including central right turning lane and uphill bicycle lane. Construct new access ramps, traffic islands and pedestrian refuge traffic islands. Realign kerb and channel to suit new pedestrian crossing and to widen the road pavement to obtain the road width needed. Install and update traffic signs. Remove redundant line marking, signs and traffic island near Bertha St. Reseal: 40mm/14mm aggregate/C320. LCC Project 23445
Victoria Street - 056587-15TAS-RTR
Several sections of seal, pavement, kerb and footpath failures. Drainage issues.Reconstruct and rehabilitate failed sections. Improve drainage to prevent failures re-occurring. Length of failed sections 150m. Width varies, average 3m.Total cost of proposed project is $300,000
White Lane Paddington - 056588-15NSW-RTR
The road surface is aged and upto 80 percent is cracked, subside and patched.It is proposed to excavate the old road surface and reseal with asphalt. Length 170m X Width 4m.Total cost of proposed project is $168,430
Wubin East Road (Rural Road) - 056589-15WA-RTR
Vegetation is enroaching on road, Restricting visibility. The road shoulders are losing gravel material creating an uneven surfaceClear Vegetation from road side and reconsruct road shoulders by adding gravel material for 8 kilometres (hit & miss)
Verney Road Shepparton - 056590-15VIC-RTR

Albert Street Paddington - 056591-15NSW-RTR
The road pavement is 70% cracked and rutted.It is proposed to excavate the road full extent of it and reseal.Total cost of proposed project is $32,000
Tarcowie-Booleroo Road - 056592-15SA-RTR
Surface of road has worn with clay appearing making road a hazard when wet as it becomes slippery and boggy.To resurface the road with a natural rubble. It will be applied 7 metres wide and 0.12metres thick when compacted. This involves raising material with a bulldozer, carting to site with trucks, spreading and levelling with graders and compacting with rollers.

Miling North Road (Rural Road) - 056595-15WA-RTR
