Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Existing road pavement is showing signs of age, fatigue, cracking and rutting.Full width rehabilitation ( 1,160 metres long X 8.5 metres wide ) with additional active transport improvements.Total cost of proposed project is $2,615,000
Neurum Road, Neurum - 057182-15QLD-RTR
The existing road pavement is showing signs of age, major rutting and cracking. It also has problems with substandard sight distances and sealed pavement widths.Full road reconstruction of Neurum Road ( 2,000 metre length ) including widening the road to ( 9 metres which includes 3.5 metre travel lanes and 1 metre sealed shoulders to match previous sections of Neurum Road.Total cost of proposed project is $1,860,000
Sandy Creek Road, Mount Vincent - 057183-15NSW-RTR
Ageing pavement with significant rutting, shoving, pavement failures and drainage problems presenting traffic safety issues as this road is a rural collector road connecting the villages of Millfield, Paxton and Ellalong to Leggetts Drive (state road) leading to M1 motorway.Reconstruct and widen with provision of appropriate road drainage with 9.4 metre wide carriageway.Total cost of proposed project is $529,592
Anemone Street, Killarney, Queensland - 057185-15QLD-RTR
Existing seal was in a poor condition and pavement was damaged due to poor subgrade combined with water seepage into the subgrade. Reconstructing this road with stormwater drainage will improve the driving condition of this collector road to improve access through this road.• New stormwater drainage works, new table drain and kerb and channel works • Removal of existing pavement and lime stabilise subgrade treatment • Pavement construction and two coats sealingTotal cost of proposed project is $916,930
War Street, Aurukun - 057192-15QLD-RTR
Existing unsealed road with insufficient drainage. This road generates dust issues in the dry season, and ponds water during rain events.Formalising road formation and sealing existing road including pavement works, edge treatment and drainage.
Paynes Crossing Road, Wollombi - 057197-15NSW-RTR
Existing timber bridge is no longer structurally sound and has a load limit of 5 tonnes which is inadequate for the current trafficRefurbishment/replacement of existing 31.5m timber bridgeTotal cost of proposed project is $707,652
Old Stanthorpe Road, Dalveen, Queensland - 057201-15QLD-RTR
This collector road carries approximately 57 vehicles per day and an alternative route from Dalveen to Warwick during instances of accidents along the New England Highway. The road is narrow (3.8 metre width), winding and has crests along this section of the road. There is potential for accidents. Also the road width is not enough for two vehicles to pass each other as the gravel shoulders rutted (smaller dips) within this chainages. Widening this section of the road will improve safety and reduce travel time.• Road widening works to accommodate two lanes. This will improve driver safety and reduce travel time.
