Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Janina Road (Bourke) - 062682-15NSW-RTR

Grand Ridge Road (Rural) - 062683-15VIC-RTR
Grand Ridge Road is a designated tourist route within South Gippsland Shire Council and attracts tourists from all over the country to enjoy it's unique scenery. The existing unsealed section is the last remaining section along Grand Ridge Road and has a width of 5 metres with many blind corners. Council intend on sealing this section of road to improve road safety along Grand Ridge Road.It is proposed to construct this section of gravel road to a width of 8.2 metres, being a 6.2 metre seal with 1 metre shoulders. The road pavement will consist of a 200 millimetre layer of Class 3 crushed rock and 100 millimetres of Class 2 crushed rock overlayed over the existing road pavement, with a 10 millimetre bitumen seal. All road crossing culverts will be replaced within this section of road, guardrail and signage will be added along the road where needed.
Dollar Road (Rural) - 062684-15VIC-RTR
Road pavement has failed due to poor subgrade and has become a hazard to road users and the general publicIt is proposed to cement stabilize 300 millimetres of existing road pavement and to add and additional 100 millimetres of Class 2 crushed rock, then add a 10 millimetre bitumen seal.
Carmodys Road (Rural) - 062686-15VIC-RTR
Carmodys Road is heavily used by motorists for example cars, trucks, school buses. In winter this section of road continually gets washed out by flood water, which causes Council to direct funding and resources on a regular basis to reinstate the road so that it is safe for road users.It is proposed to construct this section of gravel road to a width of 7.2 meters. The road pavement will consist of 200 millimetres of Class 3 crushed rock and 100 millimetres of Class 2 crushed rock overlayed over the existing pavement, with a 14 millimetre bitumen seal. All road crossing culverts will be replaced within this section of road.
