Old Stanthorpe Road, Elbow Valley - 061274-15QLD-RTR
This section of the Old Stanthorpe Road is constructed from gravel and requires continual maintenance grading. By providing a bitumen seal this will lessen Councils whole of life costs in maintaining this section of road. The Old Stanthorpe Roads is a vital connection to Dalveen to the south from Warwick. This road is also used to detour light traffic when the New England Highway is closed due to a vehicular crash. Providing a bitumen seal will also increase the safety of this road section.Works proposed: The project will be about adding a nominal thickness of gravel to the existing gravel to make it structurally sound. The road will then be sealed to a width of 7 metres. There will be some drainage structures to widen and some works also required around O’Deas Road to improve safety.
