The existing table drains are not of adequate capacity at some locations and have scoured in other locations. As a result damage occurs to the road pavement in heavy rainfall and sediment can be transported to local waterways as a result. The proposed work will install a new 600 mm diameter culvert in the road. The table drains will be reshaped and reinforced with rock at locations along the table drains to reduce scour potential.

The existing, old seals requires rejuvenation to address problems including loss of aggregate and cracking. On some sections the road profile is such that the edges are higher than the centre.Rip and reform to the design profile, four sections totalling approximately 450 metres; import new gravel as required to form road to the correct profile. Place an emulsion based primer seal to these sections. Place a 10mm aggregate reseal to all sections.
