Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

Stringybark Road - 063678-16QLD-RTR
The proposed section has the following defects: moderate crocodile craking, heavy patching, ravelling, oxidation and weathering due to the age of the existign surface. The surface of the road has moderate failures (for example, pothoels and patches).Asphalt Resurfacing: Profile edges to key-in with the concrete kerb and channel; waterproofing and crack alleviation bitumen sprayed seal; and 50mm thick Dense Graded Asphalt Overlay (using 14mm nominal size aggregate).Total cost of proposed project is $229,377
Sugar Bag Road - 063679-16QLD-RTR
The proposed sections have the following defects: moderate crocodile cracking, heavy patching, ravelling, oxidation and weathering due to the age of the existing surface. The surface of the road has moderate failures (for example, potholes and patches).Asphalt Resurfacing: Profile edges to key-in with the concrete kerb and channel; waterproofing and crack alleviation bitumen sprayed seal; and 50mm thick Dense Graded Asphalt Overlay (using 14mm nominal size aggregate).Total cost of proposed project is $343,813
Duigan Street, Mount Gambier - 063680-16SA-RTR
Road pavement has failed and minor improvement to drainage is required.Repairs to kerb and guttering as required to ensure good road drainage, remove upto 100mm of existing road pavement (including the road seal) and remove from site. Trim and re compact pavement and overlay with asphalt to full depth to improve pavement strength and to provide a new road surface of high quality.Total cost of proposed project is $200,012
O'Halloran Terrace, Mount Gambier - 063681-16SA-RTR
Existing road pavement and sealed surface are failing (evidenced by cracking and poor shape) and the road has lost shape over time.Remove upto 100mm of existing road pavement, including the existing seal and remove from site. reshape and re compact the pavement and lay a full depth asphalt layer to increase pavement strength and to provide a high quality driving surface.
Chauvel Street, Mount Gambier - 063682-16SA-RTR
Road Pavement is failing and improvement to road drainage is required.Repair kerb and guttering and outfall drainage system, excavate road pavement to a depth of approximately 100mm and reshape and re compact pavement. Install a 100mm depth layer of asphalt to increase pavement strength and to provide a high quality driving surface.
Swan Street, Mount Gambier - 063683-16SA-RTR
The road has substantial failures in the pavement and road surface and adjacent trees have caused the kerb to lift and obstruct drainage.Repair kerb where required to ensure uniform and straight grade to allow correct stormwater runoff and excavate road pavement upto 100mm deep, re compact and reshape pavement and install a full depth asphalt layer to improve pavement strength and to provide a high quality driving surface.
Sparrow Avenue, Mount Gambier - 063684-16SA-RTR
Road is failing as evidenced by cracking and shape of pavement and roadside drainage needs urgent repair due to adjacent treesRepair kerb where required to ensure uniform and straight grade to allow correct stormwater runoff and excavate road pavement upto 100mm deep, re compact and reshape pavement and install a full depth asphalt layer to improve pavement strength and to provide a high quality driving surface.
Hosking Avenue, Mount Gambier - 063685-16SA-RTR
Road pavement has failed as evidenced by cracking and some minor loss of shape.Excavate road pavement upto 100mm deep, re compact and reshape pavement and install a full depth asphalt layer to improve pavement strength and to provide a high quality driving surface.
Kennedy Avenue, Mount Gambier - 063686-16SA-RTR
This section of Kennedy Avenue is through a "cut" and there are substantial concrete bloc retaining walls on each side of road. The concrete blocks have an asbestos backing sheet that is accessible from the road and it has started to break up, meaning that pieces of asbestos are falling onto the road and also the asbestos can be easily reached and broken by pedestrians..The aim is to remove the existing asbestos backing sheet using licensed personnel and replace with a suitable backing sheet and reinstate retaining wall to full functionality. This project will be the subject of a contract and the final method adopted to do the work will be up to the selected contractor.
Quarry Road, Ferntree Gully - 063687-16VIC-RTR
Unsealed roadway between sections of constructed roadway which requires regular grading and maintenance and which abuts a steep batter down to the adjacent railway line presenting a safety issue for motorists.Construction of unsealed roadway including minor drainage works, Kerb & Channel, plateau Speed humps with overhead public lighting indented parking and guardrail. Length of Quarry Road to be sealed is approximately 470 metres with a uniform pavement width of 5.75 metres.Total cost of proposed project is $540,000
