Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

Old Warren Road - (Rural Road) - 047556-12NSW-RTR
Existing sealed road pavement has failed (rutted, extensive potholes) and single lane seal width is dangerous for traffic.Proposed to rip existing 3.6 metre seal. Widen formation to 8.4 metres. Overlay 300mm gravel and bitumen seal to 7 metres. Length of Work 4.7km. Total Cost $720,000.Total cost of proposed project is $720,000
Walnut Avenue, Mildura - 047574-12VIC-RTR
Surface has cracked and breaking down, pavement has failed, reached end of useful lifeReconstruct and reseal in accordance with Asset Maintenance StrategyTotal cost of proposed project is $585,000
Wattle St - 047592-12NSW-RTR
Existing road (Wattle St)currently terminates without a properly constructed turning point, and turning vehicles and assocated drainage issues have created an unsafe area for vehicle movements at this locationConstruction of appropriate turning point (court bowl) with assocated drainage improvements.

Muttee Heads Road (rural road) - 047594-12QLD-RTR
Sight visibility issues at the intersection as existing is on one side of a crest. Existing road width is inadequate for current and future traffic use. There has been a number of near misses and one serious incident in a head on collision between two tandem trucks due to no room to manouvre out of the collision path. Minor drainage issue.Relocate existing intersection to the top of crest and upgrade to suit turning movement traffic volumes, and to widen existing gravel road. Improve local drainage formations
Glebe Road, New Norfolk - 047596-12TAS-RTR
There is poor sight of vehicles due to a dip in the road and pavement deterioration which are both safety concerns.A section of the road will be lifted 400 millimetres to rectify the line of sight problem. Repairs also to kerb and channel, pavement stabilisation and sealing of the road. Stabilisation and seal totalling 4,700 metres square will be required.Total cost of proposed project is $150,000
Old Station Road, Coningham - 047624-12TAS-RTR
The section has failed due to failed roadside drainage and failure of road base and is suffering from water ingress into pavement. The existing seal was failed and is badly potholed beyond simple repair.Reconstruction of approximately 370 metres of Old Station Road including the installation of improve roadside drainage and sub-surface drainage. A new based to be installed and road sealed.Total cost of proposed project is $535,620
High Street, Mont Albert - 047627-12VIC-RTR
Cracking in the street is starting to cause pavement failure. There are a number of street trees damaging the bluestone kerb & channel. The street now requires rehabilitation.Excavate and reconstruct the road pavement where required, raise and reconstruct the bluestone kerb & channel for shape correction, reconstruct vehicle crossings and improve stormwater drainage.Total cost of proposed project is $278,767
Ferris Avenue, Mitcham - 047628-12VIC-RTR
Excessive cracking in the street is causing the pavement to fail. There are also a number of street trees damaging the concrete kerb & channel. Despite various patches in the street, it now requires reconstruction / rehabilitation.Excavate and reconstruct the road pavement where required. Remove and reconstruct the concrete kerb & channel, reconstruct vehicle crossings and improve the existing stormwater drainage.Total cost of proposed project is $313,736
Yallakar Street Edenhope - 047632-12VIC-RTR
This is an urban road which is to be upgraded to a sealed road in line with the council plan of sealing urban roads. The road surface is rough and uneven with poor drainage.The section of road will be constructed for a total length of 125m. The existing surface will have pavement material added to give an overall pavement width of 6m. The surface will be prepared and sealed with bitumen for a width of 5m A final wearing sealed surface will be applied in December 2013 on the road for a length of 125m and a width of 5m to protect the road formation from water, provide drainage and create a non skid surface
