Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Bobadah Road (Rural Road) - 050073-13NSW-RTR
General loss of gravel over time with uneven wear. Flash flooding results in causeways washing out and more severe loss of gravel on hills (mainly chainage 36 to 42km) which become slippery and causing complaints from the school bus operator.Gravel resheet the worst patches, approximately 7 to 10km out of the total length. Add concrete edges to the sealed causeways.Total cost of proposed project is $240,340

Loss of gravel over time - several years since this section had a gravel resheet. Wear is uneven.Gravel resheet the worst patches within the 4.3km length.
Bobadah Road (Rural Road) - 050075-13NSW-RTR
This unsealed road between adjacent sealed segments has a safety problem with excessive dust being held in by roadside trees. Worse during grain harvest season. Low visibility causes motor vehicle accidents.Reform the pavement, add gravel and place a sprayed seal on it.
Telowie Road, Telowi - 050076-13SA-RTR
The road is one of the major access roads for the residents who live alone this road as well as serving the cropping and grazing farms in the area. The road has been an issue because of the material breaking down due to the large volume of traffic on this road, and trucks using this for access to farming and the need to grade this frequently.This road will be formed up to meet transport industry standard and will be primed and bituminised, with several creek crossings in being upgraded to concrete causeways.Total cost of proposed project is $258,603

Existing poor quality gravel pavement is allowing water infiltration and deformation of pavement shape.Reform a 10 km total length of existing pavement and resheet with a 100 mm depth of good quality crushed rock.
