Barnadown-Knowsley Road, Barnadown - 050527-13VIC-RTR

Coober Pedy to Oodnadatta Road (Rural Road) - 050529-13SA-RTR
This section of road is low lying and requires targeted forming and sheeting to get above natural surface level. The existing road material is marginal and becomes impassable at various locations following minor rainfall events. The work will involve forming the existing road and importing crushed rock to sheet target sections.
Coober Pedy - William Creek Road (Rural Road) - 050530-13SA-RTR
The floodways to be upgraded are currently lying below the natural surface level, the existing road has poor drainage and after moderate rainfall the road is inundated with water which weakens the pavement, resulting in road closures. The work will consist of excavating existing material and replace with crushed rock,to improve the vertical alignment, increase strength and improve drainage.
Burrawantie Road (Rural Road) - 050531-13NSW-RTR
Existing gravel has eroded away and needs to be replaced. Local residents have complained about our hazardous it is in the wet.Gravel resheeting of the three sections of road at 4.3 kilometres long x 6 metres wide x 200 millimetres in depth.
Northern Territory Border to Oodnadatta Road - 050533-13SA-RTR
The road is low lying and below natural surface level, sections of the road pass through swampy areas. During and after a rainfall evenet, water ponds in areas of the road for extended periods, the road becomes boggy and impassable. The work involves minor realignment, forming the existing road and importing crushed rock to sheet a 7km section. The road formation will be 10 metres wide with a carriageway width of 8 metres.
Booleroo to Pekina Road (Rural Road) (District Councils of Mount Remarkable and Orroroo Carrieton) - 050534-13SA-RTR
The current road is unsealed and very narrow (only 7 metres wide in some sections). The road has an undulating vertical and horizontal alignment, restricting sight and traversing several watercourses, which often cause closure of the road due to flood damage. The work proposed includes improving the vertical and horizontal alignment, using existing road reserves and minor land acquisitions. 31 culverts will be installed to aaccommodate water crossings and the road will be widened to 11 metres and sealed, increasing the design speed from 80 to 100 kilometres per hour. The District Council of Orroroo Carrieton have completed their section and the District Council of Mount Remarkable will now commence the final 6.4 kilometre section from the council boundary to the Booleroo airstrip, undertaking preparatory works.Total cost of proposed project is $4,070,000
Balumbah to Kinniard Road (Rural Road) (District Council of Kimba) - 050535-13SA-RTR
This project will address the fit for purpose standard of the road. The road has seen a significant increase in heavy vehichle traffic following the construction of a new grain terminal in the area, is a school bus route and has experienced increase tourist traffic since the commencement of the Cowell to Wallaroo ferry. Increased use of the road has caused hazardous driving conditions due to dust, which has also effected native vegetation in close proximity to the road.Work proposed includes construction and sealing of 4.5 kilometres of the Balumbah to Kinniard Road from the end of the section completed in 2012-13 (third 4.5 kilometres). This includes construction formation, vertical and horizontal alignments, drainage lines and final seal of the road to a width of 8 metres with 1.5 metre shoulders. This work represents the final year of the 4 year project.Total cost of proposed project is $3,040,000
Ferries McDonald Road (Rural Road) (Rural City of Murray Bridge) - 050536-13SA-RTR
This project will complete the final section of a north-south regional transpport corridor, designed to facilitate freight movements acroos the region. This section of the road was unsealed and not fit for purpose to B-Double Standard.Work proposed includes upgrading the vertical and horizontal alignment and sealing the 12.4 kilometre section of the road as well as re-arranging the road alignment at both the northern and southern ends of the Ferries McDonald Conservation Parkto force drivers to slow down and stop prior to proeeding through the park. The road surface texture will also be altered through the park and signage and other visial cues (entrance walls) will be constructed.Total cost of proposed project is $4,910,000
Bald Hills Road (Rural Road) (District Council of Mount Barker) - 050537-13SA-RTR
The current road design and construction is not fit for purpose, due to increased land development, use by cyclists and the construction of a new interchange with the South Eastern Freeway. Problems with the existing road include a number of large trees close to the existing edge of the road and effecting road safety, restricted sightlines at road intersections along the road, poor or no provision for shoulders, poor deliniation of the road at night poor stormwater infrastructure and subsoil drainage, insufficient seal width to cope with growing and expected volumes of traffic, poor pavement strength and ride quality. The proposed works for 2013-14 include reconstruction and widening of the pavement, provision of extensive guardrail to protect traffic from roadside fixed objects (trees)and stormwater drainage. Sealed shoulders and improved drainage will also be constructed to increase safety for cyclists.Total cost of proposed project is $7,350,000
