Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Sandy Creek Road, Charters Towers - 051104-13QLD-RTR
The existing seal has deteriorated due to wear and tear.It is propsed to reseal the section between Barkla Road and Featherby Road to the existing width of 6m.
Mutju Road, Ngukurr - 051106-13NT-RTR
Extensive storm water damage as original road had a design fault which did not cater for storm water. The storm water eroded the seal and underlay causing restricted access on this road.• Rip up existing road seal • Prepare and compact road seal base • Double seal and bitumen coat Site Preparation 1. Fill holes in existing road pavement before Bomag action to ensure even road base. 2. Rip up existing road seal with Bomag to depth of at least 150mm. 3. Compact existing processed road seal to form base 8.1 metres wide to 98 per cent minimum density. 4. Road base to have 1.5 per cent cross fall (no crown). ROAD CONSTRUCTION 1. Apply double seal and bitumen coat with 14/10 aggregate on 350 metres length X 8.1m wide to fit with existing kerbs. Ensure 1.5 per cent cross fall. 2. Overlay seal at kerbing by 25mm to ensure waterproofing. 3. Clean construction site of all industrial waste and shape road shoulders to pre-existing state.
Eva Valley Road, Eva Valley - 051107-13NT-RTR
Jump Up is eroded from intensive wet season washouts from storm water runoff.150 metre by 7.2 metre wide double seal 10 mm and 14 mm aggregate with rate of 1.3 litre per metre of bitumen. A concrete spoon drain install with slow down blocks and relief drainoff install to relieve water flow. Guard railing to be installed on high side of road 100 metres long, with two bull nose ends.Total cost of proposed project is $142,700
Mount Mitchell Road (Rural Road) - 051108-13NSW-RTR
One timber bridge girder is defective, with a moderate risk of failure and public hazard, and additional minor bridge components require rehabilitation and repair.Replace one timber bridge girder, replace minor timber components, and repair cracked concrete on piers.
Cherry Tree Road (Rural Road) - 051109-13NSW-RTR
Cracking of concrete jacketing around timber piles, leading to possible weakening of bridge structure.Remove concrete jacketing around piles, investigate column pile condition and reinstate concrete jacketing or other method of pile support as necessary.
Gulf Road (Rural Road) - 051110-13NSW-RTR
One timber bridge girder is defective, with a moderate risk of failure and public hazard, and additional minor bridge components require rehabilitation and repair.Replace one timber bridge girder, one timber corbel and damaged deck planking.
Polhill Road (Rural Road) - 051111-13NSW-RTR
Many timber bridge girders are heavily rotted with loss of sap wood, weakening the bridge structure.Replace or rehabilitate damaged timber bridge components.
Mount Slow Road (Rural Road) - 051112-13NSW-RTR
Significant splitting of timber piles, and broken timber members at one abutment.Replace timber piles and abutment members, and concrete patch repair at abutment.
Glen Elgin Road (Rural Road) - 051113-13NSW-RTR
Concrete encased timber piles have exposed timber, and many timber components particularly at one abutment have deteriorated requiring rehabilitation and repair.Install new reinforced concrete jacketing around base of piles to below bed level, install erosion protection to stabilise piles, and replace weathered timber bridge members.
Shannon Vale Road (Rural Road) - 051114-13NSW-RTR
Existing timber bridge components are in poor condition, resulting in increased risk of failure and public danger.Replace one timber bridge girder and one bridge corbel, and repair bridge approaches.
