Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Ernest Giles Road (Alice Springs - Rural Local) - 101816-19NT-RTR
Ernest Giles Road is a vital road for cattle stations and local communities. The road is unsealed with heavily corrugated sections and regularly closed during wet season.Gravel resheet various sections between chainage 78 and 101 kilometres.
Gorrie Dry River Road (Katherine - Rural Local) - 101531-19NT-RTR
The road has been deteriorated with bull dust, rutting and corrugation. The resheeting will minimise the health issues to the people living at various communities and cattle stations that are caused by dust. The road also becomes boggy and slippery during wet, creating unsafe road environment for the motorists.Gravel resheeting of various sections of the road.
Litchfield Welltree Stn Access Road (Darwin - Rural Local) - 101658-19NT-RTR
During wet season, the road becomes flooded and has severe erosion that can cause vehicle to run-off the road. The road has been restricted for vehicle mass/ weight for 433 days in the last five years.Construct sealed floodway including concrete margin and a concrete culvert at chainage 4.44 kilometres. Install concrete margins at chainages 0.21, 2.56, 4.32, 4.96 and 15.15 kilometres.
Bauhinia Propacc Road (Katherine - Rural Local) - 101529-19NT-RTR
The existing gravel floodway suffer continuous damage during the wet season and becomes boggy and slippery. This causes safety problems and hazards for motorists driving on a gravel floodway in wet weather. Road closures are also more frequent due to unsafe condition of the road.Construct a 30 metres long concrete invert at Chainage 19.485 kilometres.
Illawarra Road (Darwin - Rural Local) - 101657-19NT-RTR
Illawarra Road services the local Douglas Daly community and many pastoral properties. The road has been in poor condition and becomes extensively bogged and slippery after wet. The road has been closed for 95 days and has vehicle mass/weight restrictions for 458 days in last five yeas.Lift and reform from Chainage 0.0 to 7.83 kilometres and improve drainage, removal of existing property accesses within floodway and relocate fence line within road reserve.
Mermaid Circuit (Darwin - Rural Local - 101803-19NT-RTR
The road is unsealed with the loss of gravel and crossfall with poor drainage. The road services the residential community of Dundee area and provide a health risk due to dust, and restricted access due to hazardous conditions during wet.Pavement upgrade from unsealed to sealed from Chainage 0.0 to 1.1 kilometres.
Old Humbert River Station Access Road (Katherine - Rural Local) - 101801-19NT-RTR
The existing concrete floodway at Sandy Creek crossing goes under the water frequently in wet weather and so very hazards to motorists in wet weather. Correspondingly, road closures are also quite frequent and community is cut-off for a long period of time.Construct a multi barrel culvert over Sandy Creek crossing Chainage 12.0 kilometres.
Napperby Road (Alice Springs - Rural Local) - 101814-19NT-RTR
Napperby Road is a vital road for cattle stations and local communities. The road is unsealed with heavily corrugated sections and regularly closed during wet season.Lift and gravel resheet chainage 32 to 40 kilometres.
