Booborowie Road, (Rural Road) Booborowie - 102126-19SA-RTR
The existing road alignment and shape of Booborowie Rd is poor. Several corners require re engineering of radius and cross fall. Large lengths of straight sections of the road have poor cross fall resulting in water laying on the surface, not draining properly, creating potholes which degrade the surface and cause a hazard to road users. Booborowie Rd is a high maintenance open surface road with daily traffic volumes averaging over 100 vehicles per day. The road is the main north/south connection of the Canowie area linking the township of Booborowie with the major arterial road of Wilkins Highway. It is a commodity route for 26m B doubles carting grain, hay and wool. Heavy vehicle usage increases during the seasonal harvest times.Council will commence upgrading the road to a high standard open surface road by improving the horizontal and vertical geometry of the roadway and increasing the road width to an 11m formation. The road level will be raised by 300mm to improve drainage on the roadway. The existing drainage infrastructure is in poor/non existent condition with large amounts of water pooling on the roads surface during wet conditions creating a hazard for road users and creating additional maintenance requirements . Multiple culverts will be replaced/upgraded using 15,000m3 of rubble sourced from a local Council managed pit.Total cost of proposed project is $456,111
Booborowie Road, (Rural Road) Booborowie - 102135-19SA-RTR

Booborowie Road is a high maintenance open surface road, daily traffic volumes between 30-40 vehicles per day of which 20% are heavy vehicles. The road is a main north/south connection in the Belalie area providing a link to the Wilkins Highway to the south, Belalie Road to the west and the township of Peterborough to the north. It is a commodity route for 26m B doubles carting hay/grain/wool. Heavy vehicle usage increases during the seasonal harvest times.Council will renew Booborowie Road to Council's category 2 standard being 8m width and a pavement depth of 150mm. Drains and culverts will be cleaned and replaced as necessary . Work will require approximately 13,000m3 of rubble.Total cost of proposed project is $276,168
