Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Morrison Street, Camooweal 4828 - 096187-17QLD-RTR
Stripping and bitumen cracking causing water infiltration to the pavement which causes pavement failure. The pavement will continue to deteriorate should no maintenance works done to this section of road.Council is proposing to do pavement rehabilitation works by scarifying the existing pavement add type 2.1 base materials to improve road pavement. The re-constructed road to Council standard will be sealed with 2-coats bitumen seal.
Gunpowder Road, (Rural Road) - 096189-17QLD-RTR
Road roughness, rutting and pavement erosion due stormwater run-off are the problems on this section of road. General road maintenance e.g. re-sheeting and stormwater drainage improvement need to be done to address road defects.Council will do a re-sheeting and drainage improvement on this section of road.
Baird Avenue, Matraville - 096200-17NSW-RTR
Road pavement aging as evidenced by ravelling and oxidising on pavement surface. Pavement failure as evidenced by crocodile cracking, rutting, potholes and potholes patching.Reconstruction section of low and deteriorated kerb & gutter. Reconstruction of sections of footpath and a number of driveways to improve scraping problems. 1500mm asphalt heavy patching of failed road pavement areas and 50mm mill and fill of asphalt road pavement.
Maringarup West Road (rural road) - 052378-14WA-RTR
Pavement failures, narrow road width, and drainage systems which require renewal to remove water from the road surface.Works to rectify the problems identified include reforming, resheeting and installing new drainage systems.
Duke Street, Kensington - 096199-17NSW-RTR
Failures of road surface and pavement failures as evidenced by severe stripping and ravelling, various areas of road subsidence, crocodile cracking, rutting, potholes and potholes patching. In addition, lifting of road pavement sections, kerb & gutter and footpath caused by street trees roots at various locations creating drainage problems.Construction of new drainage lines (which include new pits and pipes). Reconstruction of sections of kerb & gutter, footpaths and nature strips; and reconstruction of a number of driveways. 150mm deep lift asphalt road pavement reconstruction. Installation of new line marking and kerb ramps.Total cost of proposed project is $1,436,371
Warner Glen Road (Rural Road) - 096201-17WA-RTR
Busy local rural distributor road between two Primary Distributor roads showing significant signs of pavement failure, surface defects, geometrical non-compliance and drainage problems.Strengthen and reconstruct the road including geometric improvements to cross section and pavement rehabilitation.Total cost of proposed project is $417,957
Inkerman Street, St Kilda - 096205-17VIC-RTR
Deformed asphalt surface has been identified through road inspections. The pavement surface has changed from originally constructed profile, which may directly influence the riding quality, water ponding and skid resistance. Asphalt resheeting improves pavement performance with regard to strength and riding quality.40mm minimum depth asphalt overlay of the existing surface along length of 102.6metre and width of 16metres (area = 1641.6 square metres)Total cost of proposed project is $120,398
Lagoon Road, Lord Howe Island (Rural Road) - 096191-17NSW-RTR
Existing seal surface deteriorating from general traffic and rainfallMinor pavement repairs, drainage upgrades where required and resurfacing of old sealTotal cost of proposed project is $42,000
