Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Fowlers Bay Access Road (Rural Road) - 052439-14SA-RTR
The 12km section of road is low lying, unsealed and become very dusty and corrugated in the summer and slippery after rain events, posing safety hazard to the public and local community and affecting the local tourism business.The work will involve reconstruction of the 12 kilometres of road by 10 metres wide with placement of new delineation to improve safety and accessibility to the township.

1. 6m narrow seal for the large amount of tourist and heavy vehicles using the road 2. Gravel shoulders in poor condition 3. Overgrown vegetation is affecting sight distance on bendsWiden seal to 7m, recondition gravel shoulders and clearing of vegetationTotal cost of proposed project is $420,000
Scenic Highway, Mulambin - 096733-17QLD-RTR
This section of Scenic Highway needs rehabilitation of the pavement to reinstate adequate levels of service and safety for the road users.Rehabilitation of the road pavement including treatments to the failed pavement sections.Total cost of proposed project is $84,279
Artillery Road, Ironpot - 096732-17QLD-RTR
This section of Artillery Road, in Ironpot, has a large number of serious pavement failures. It is necessary to undertake immediate rehabilitation works to reinstate adequate levels of service. It has been noticed that the road does not provide safe travel conditions during inclement weather conditions causing significant safety issues for the road users.Rehabilitation of the road including treatments to the failed pavement.Total cost of proposed project is $108,925
Scenic Highway, Kinka Beach - 096734-17QLD-RTR
The road stretch consists of various pavement failures and needs immediate rehabilitation works to be undertaken to reinstate agreeable service conditions and acceptable levels of safety.Rehabilitation of the road including treatments to the failed pavement sections.Total cost of proposed project is $64,092
