Wallambin Road (rural road) - 052394-14WA-RTR
There has been excessive deterioration of the unsealed pavement combined with an inadequate base course and an exposed sub-base. This has lead to an unsafe carriageway, ineffective drainage and severe corrugations. It is proposed to remove verge vegetation as required, to widen and re-form table drains and shoulders, to extend or repair culverts as required and to sheet with new roadbase to a depth of 150mm, waterbind and roll.
Ogilvies Road, Mansfield - 096241-17VIC-RTR
The road is currently 6m wide with the road verge sloping sharply away from the edge of the seal. There is little shoulder width for vehicles to utilise if required. Heavy vehicles sharing the road with light vehicles has increased and the road width for this two way traffic is marginal. Shoulder widening will increase the width to 7.5m allowing vehicles to comfortably pass and the wider shoulder will allow vehicles to stop safely on the road without interfering with traffic if required.Extend large box culverts underneath the road, support the pavement widening over the culverts with concrete gravel beams and rock beaching. Build up and cement stabilise shoulder, increasing the total road width to 7.5m and seal 500mm of road shoulder for the full length.Total cost of proposed project is $171,898
