Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

The existing surface is in poor condition with severe stripping and potholes.Supply and lay AC10 surface course. This is stage two of a two stage project to reseal Pleasant Grove Circle throughout.
Loyetea Road (Rural Road) - 096328-17TAS-RTR
Pavement failures for extended length of roadReconstruct the area of pavement failure and reseal. Improvements to drainage in some areas.Total cost of proposed project is $135,000
Midgleys Road (Rural Road) - 096329-17TAS-RTR
Pavement failures for extended length of roadReconstruct the area of pavement failure and seal. Improvements to drainage in some areas.Total cost of proposed project is $50,000
C J Dennis Road, Toolangi - 096325-17VIC-RTR
Existing pavement has badly deteriorated and is unsafe for vehicles due to the many potholes and irregularities on the road surfaces.Renewal of low standard pavement with minimum 80mm fine crushed roc.
Yarck Road, Yarck - 096332-17VIC-RTR
Possible flexural or shrinkage cracking. No guard fence. Spalling with exposed reinforcement due to possible impact on west and east barriers. Surface rusting. Loss of batter on both sides possibly due to erosion. Cracking at supports.Review drawings for design load and carry out level 3 inspection to determine if overloaded. Carry out Risk Assessment to determine if Guard fence is required. Concrete patch repair to exposed reinforcement on west and east barriers. Apply paint to areas of surface rusting. Old Yarck Road, Yarck - 096334-17VIC-RTR
Spalling with exposed reinforcement on outer girder on north east corner. Possible flexural cracking. Elastomeric bearings worn out. Guard fence appears to be short. Three sections on west and two on east with impact damage. Loss of batter at the top on both sides.Review drawings for design load and carry out Level 3 inspection to determine if overloaded. Carry out Risk Assessment to determine if adequate. Replace all worn out elastomeric bearings. Reinstate batters at the top on both sides. Provide extended and splayed Guard fence.Total cost of proposed project is $100,626
Freeman Road, FORRESTDALE - 096340-17WA-RTR
Road surface has potholes and other defects. Some settlement has occurred resulting in an uneven ride.Rip and recompact existing basecourse. Add material where necessary. Surface using 7mm primer seal followed by 25mm AC7 asphalt.

Road surface has deteriorated and requires resurfacing to improve issues.Reseal to improve surface and life of the road and improve road safety
Native Plains Road, Railton - 096343-17TAS-RTR
Extreme wear and tear from high traffic use on the unsealed segment with poor drainage has weakened the road causing failure and has deemed the road segment at an unacceptable level of service; this segment requires sealing of the gravel segment which will connect the existing two sealed segments.Reconstruct the unsealed road segment, widening of the road, improve drainage to correctly disperse water to the proper water courses, and seal.Total cost of proposed project is $400,000
