Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Winspears Road, East Devonport - 097585-18TAS-RTR

Single lane bitumen seal is at four metres wide and dangerous for overtaking and passing vehicles on opposite directions.Proposed to form and shape up the existing road to allow for the correct cross fall. New gravel pavement will be added to increase road width to seven metres bitumen seal.Total cost of proposed project is $176,800

Tooloom Road (Rural Road) - 052524-14NSW-RTR
The existing timber bridge has a 10 tonne load limit because it has deteriorated significantly. The length of the bridge is 30 metres and the width is 5.4 metres.It is proposed to replace the bridge girders and deck.
Punchbowl Road, Julia Creek, - 097595-18QLD-RTR
When the road has had 15 mililitres of rain it cannot be used due to the road being mostly black soil. The proposed works will allow cattle transport and station owners to have further access to the road during the wet season. This will also reduce the maintenance costs for Council.Supply and place gravel pavement 6 metres wide and then two coat bitumen sealed 4 metres wide for 6 kilometres long.Total cost of proposed project is $243,545
Nelia Bunda Road, Julia Creek, - 097596-18QLD-RTR
When the road has had 15 mililitres of rain it is unable to be used due to the road being mostly black soil with some gravel. The proposed works will allow cattle transport and station owners to have access to the road during the wet season. This will also reduce the maintenance costs for Council.Supply and place gravel pavement 6 metres wide and then two coat bitumen sealed 4 metres wide for 6.17 kilometres long.Total cost of proposed project is $560,886
Gilliat McKinlay Road, Julia Creek, - 097597-18QLD-RTR
When the road has had 15 mililitres of rain it is unable to be used due to the road being mostly black soil with some gravel. The proposed works will allow cattle transport and station owners to have further access to the road during the wet season. As well as improving access and safer travel between the townships of Julia Creek and McKinlay. This will also reduce the maintenance costs for Council.Supply and place gravel pavement 6 metres wide and then two coat bitumen seal 6 metres wide for three sections of road totalling 7.17 kilometres long.Total cost of proposed project is $348,516
Orchard Road (Rural Road) - 097591-18WA-RTR
This section of road has restricted sight distances and is seriously overhung with trees which is not allowing safe vehicle movements down the road. It is a major grain cartage corridor and a school bus route.Council proposed to improve sight distances by pruning back overhanging tree branches and removing trees from within the road's backslope to enable sight distances to be increased to a safe standard.
